We have been working a lot lately with Ryan Couture – UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture’s son with some Fighters opportunities and he brought up there 5k running event. This really hits a number of things with me and we are proud to be the premier title sponsor for this event.
1) Running – I am a big fan of physical fitness and my wife loves to run races (when not pregnant).
2) The money from Randy’s charity goes to help American troops who have suffered massive losses. Examples of this would be guys who lost their arms or legs, and are on their way to becoming homeless.
3) He is Randy Couture current UFC HW Champion.

Nice event! People should organize more often this kind of events because it is fun and good for our health.

Fashion indeed! Two very different archetypes between the two versions of Couture though. Suppose the catwalk and octagon share a lot of similarities. Wonder which one is the deadliest?

Randy will always be a champ, easy mistake!

Don’t do running myself, but my girlfriend does and I like watching her run ;-0
This is a really good cause and deserves as much support as possible. A big shout out to you for getting involved.

It is a wonderful thing to be able to give back to others. Being a Navy mom I really appreciate your efforts.

Just gave your fighters profile page a StumbleUpon review, may there be loads more thumbs ups for an awesome project. Am humbled to see you punting meaningful causes, as the fate of war veterans is scary. People treated like disposables after sacrificing their innocence and losing limbs is a crying same. Government doesn’t seem to care about it’s people….

A great cause for Fighters.com to be a part of. Thanks for doing your part Jeremy.
The constitution states that the members of the military are to be taking care of, yet the government has failed so many.

WOW… Great job Shoe! This is one event that anybody could be proud to be involved in, much less be the title sponsor! I am sure this will help many people, and not to mention get the Fighters.com name out there!

When I see the word “Couture”, I’m thinking fashion, not fighting! Great event with a worthy cause tho.

I’ve participated in 5k’s, 10k’s, half marathons, marathons, and full-blown adventure races on a number of different levels. These events are great and in my experience are a win-win for everyone participating. First there’s the opportunity to get fit. There is the motivation to create goals and work towards achieving those goals. There is the awareness raising of the charities, funding for charities, and future funding opportunities for charities (either by future races or other activities). There is opportunity for local businesses to get involved (branding and volunteering) and even opportunities for national businesses. Great to see that Randy is doing this and great to see you’re supporting it.
