Shoe – in your opinion, whats the best resource (other than shoemoney, of course) for affiliate noobies to learn how to get started and what are the best offers to get started with (sorry, that’s sort of 2 questions in one)?

Thanks!

What would be your top #1 suggestion to somebody just starting out making money online.

I’ve been at it for a bit over a year now, with a website in a very competitive niche, paired up against some really big boys, barley making any money at all, working some insane hours, keeping a job, etc…

When you decided to build AuctionAds you must have realised that creating a “out of the box” interface bolted onto a well known network would be a huge success. Products like Twhirl are another example of making a tool even easier to use , do you think the way forward for smaller developers is to add value to existing products which already have a known user base.

Hey Shoe, not to sound like a kiss up but I want to say your the man bro. My question is after all of the time you have spent on the web seeing it evolve, whether it be the search engines or the latest social apps and websites, what would you say is the best way to make money online for the long term and why?

Many thanks in advance and for the opportunity to ask you questions!

One of my sites (http://WinScrabble.com) has proven difficult for me to promote through my normal methods.

It’s a site to help people cheat at Scrabble, by taking their letters and generating valid words for them. Once I hook a user, they tend to convert to long-term, direct traffic easily, but the problem is there is a very strong incentive for them to not share the site with their friends. So, word of mouth is next to nil.

Can you think of any way that I could motivate people to share that site with others? Going with 100% CPC advertising has felt like an uphill battle, so far.

When you first got started, how long did it take you to start earning significant money online? Significant meaning when you started earning let’s say at least $1,000 a month.
Thank you,
Marty

Hey, i have been thinking of making several content sites based on music video embeds from sites like youtube, dailymotion etc.

Is it legal to embed any video from the site if i didnt upload it in the first place. And if not, does it make a difference if i have a user submitted site where i do not have direct control over approving videos that may or may not be copyrighted.

Also, related to music videos. Websites like http://new.music.yahoo.com/ seem to have the right to host any music video and give users the capability of embedding it themselves.

This seems like a legal grey area to me, and i dont really want to proceed if theres potential of me getting sued.

Thanks shoe.

In google webmaster tools, in the top search queries I get seemingly impossible position (like 1-10) for a popular single word query. yet i get no traffic from it, and when I search for it, i don’t appear anywhere in the results for the first 100 or so. Any ideas what’s going on there?

Hi Shoemoney,

For a new social site of mine.

What is better: keyword.net or my+keyword.com
In terms of branding and what people will remember.
Would love to hear your opinion. The keyword.com doesn’t seem available.

Thanks

Hey Shoe — one of my favorite posts on your blog is “I used to be fat …”. These days you seem to have “rockstar confidence” (in a good way), and I’m guessing that losing weight, amongst other things, really helped that. So my question is:

How would you describe your own confidence and self-esteem, and the role that it plays in your life and business?

You have made a ton of money in a relatively short time. Are there still ample opportunities for someone to do the same thing as you have done? How does someone spot a good situation in order to be able to exploit it, like you did for ring tones?

Thanks for the chance to pick your brain Jeremy!

Do you think it is wiser to build out 10-20 (random number) tightly focused, Higher earning, higher maintenance, affiliate websites that require more of your time to promote etc. OR… do you think it is wiser to build 100-200 lower maintenance, lower earning, less time investment etc?

Essentially – which is better? Spending more time on less sites, or less time on more sites? Assuming volume will overcome quality….

Thanks,

Mark

When starting into PPCc affiliate marketing, what would be the best way to start if you wanted to be able to double your money everytime you start a campaign? Meaning if I started which a 300 dollar credit is either adwords or yahoo search and was running with rocket profit or Hydra what would I have to do to make 600.

What I want to do is be able to double what evr I invest. I think If I am able to do that everytime it would not be to long before I was making some good money.

Hello Shoe – I’m a big fan.

My question; from reading your blog it seems like the tipping point in your success was NextPimp.com’s Adsense revenue – that income fueled your other endeavors. Do you think that model: blog + forum + useful tools + Adsense/subscriptions still can work today?

Is time spent building monument sites with user generated content time well spent?

Thanks.
