Jamati Online – Free Shirt Friday

by tbuck on April 25, 2008 · 31 comments

Jamati Online is a portal dedicated to putting the spotlight on Africa’s brightest stars in music, style, film, books, and sports.

“Jamati, was coined from the word Jaamati which means meeting place in Kiswahili. The original idea was to create a meeting place for Africans online, but as the company evolved, we chose to keep that theme and focus our content on African entertainers and entertainment through a vertical web portal, which is where we saw a need and an opportunity.”

Thanks for the free shirt (I’d have to say one of the coolest designs thus far)!

Nice shirt ShoeMoney. How many is that now? Maybe you could do an all shirt roundup and wear them all at one time. You’d look like the hulk.

Have a great weekend!

I like that they are bring Africa to the world stage since the only thing you hear coming out of there is violence.

Yes, I agree the only things we are seeing on the news these days are the stories of starvation and desperation. One would never know that there are really nice countries in Africa that are enjoying the arts and cultural experiences.

I am South African, and grew up during the apartheid years and witnessed the release of Nelson Mandela from prison and the subsequent advent of democracy in our country. Without bloodshed or violence, unlike all the other lovely conflicts bein g played out around the world. Please take heed of our example and make the world a better place going forward.

I have to say you don’t look 205 lbs and usually they say the camera adds a few lbs. Are you pretty tall if you don’t mind me asking?

I’d like to add this shirt is not too bad.

Its a crazy world when you see all those starving and sick people in so many countries world wide, not just Africa, its even crazier when you look at the multi-billions of dollars that are getting spent on wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
