Pure Content – A Much Needed Quality Content Service

purecontent

Over the years I have tried many content writers for many different sites. Some are OK and some are really painful. Recently I got a tip from a friend about this company called Pure Content. I figured I’d check them out, see if they can do what they say. I was a little skeptical at first, because how many times do you see offers for “unique” content, but come to find out your unique content is posted on thousands of sites.

As most of you know, this blog isn’t hurting for content, sometimes I’ll post three articles in one day. But with this blog I do not really care about grammar or spelling…. Basically what this company does is, they have copy writers on staff that once you are a client will actually write relevant articles for your site. So this isn’t some generic verbiage that is dropped into thousands of sites across the internet, it is specific to you. So basically its like having professional writers at your disposal. And don’t worry, their writers grammatical skills were way better than mine. ;) They require a minimum of 100 articles to become a client, so this is a pretty exclusive company that doesn’t want people who just want one article for their site.

Another great feature, is if you like to stream news onto your site, they can do that for you too. You can give them your keyword list or a preferred subject and they will rewrite news articles for you. The best part about all of this, is they will even post it to your site for you. So on the days that you are out of town on business, like me, I’m never here, they will do it for you.

Content services work well as part of any SEO strategy. Keeping your site relevant and up to date has tremendous benefits for how you rank in search engines. My experience with them was great, they did what they say they do. And they do it well.

So hopefully this will help others looking for a recommendation of a content provider. Its probably one of the most common requests I get. You can check them out here for more info.

Here is a video from their website:

Delegate2 quickly responds to applications, but I dont like their policy of making writers wait 4 weeks for acceptance of their articles. They claim to have over 700 writers but I dont think so,coz it seems a lot of time and money is spent on posting adverts for writer jobs.If you search the internet, using the keyword “delegate2″ it will return hundreds of adverts for writer positions. Why should a company with 700 writers waste time on adverts.I know companies with only 60 writers that are more efficient than Delegate2.

Purecontent.com sucks. They basically hire writers and tell them it is a serious offense if they find duplicate contents on the articles you write for them. When you start sending them your articles, they will start the alibi that there are lots of duplicate content on your articles. This is reason they tell you that they will not pay you. But if you check your articles on Quote Finder by Google, there’s basically no duplicate content in the articles you submitted. Purecontent.com is just one of those web content providers that are delinquent in terms of paying their writers. Purecontent.com or delegate2.com is a scam all freelance writers should avoid.

Ron Seatha, you run a content company? lol I have written for Purecontent for 18 months. Always been paid in full and on time. I understand that if you produce rubbish or provide dupe content you don’t get paid on time as they have to quality control everything

Pure content sucks big time.. They never pay their writers and they are the big con-artists… I hate them.. they take the articles and never pay for them.. and when pursued they pay a fraction of the amount..

Maybe it’s just me, but I have never had a problem sitting down and writing an article, about anything. I am not a writer but a journo I met once when I was telling I was having problems getting started writing an essay I had due for the study I was doing at the time told me this. To just sit down at your computer or with your pen and just start writing. About anything – dont worry about grammer or anything. Just write and you will get over the block. It has always worked for me. Thanks.

Too bad they don’t have a free version, even if it were to be subsidized by ads.

Shoe says this company will post the content as well. Not sure if this is for the articles too or just the news.

But yeah, I love me some Elance.

Sometimes it just isn’t practical to write your own content. I always write my own for my blog, but I have lots of other sites and several BANS stores I just don’t have time to write for. A reasonably priced service such as this can be a benefit.

9 hours ago? Geez. Either way, I’m sure it’s not cheap. You’re probably paying either per post or by the hour. Better to write your own content. It brands you better and attracts more readers.

This is very tempting for bloggers who run out of things to write about. Still, if you need someone to write your content for you, this isn’t your niche.

You can also get it for a lot cheaper on Elance, about half that much.

This seems like an office service. I’m also a freelance writer!! If anybody needs any work done I would be more than happy to discuss with you my rates and potential projects!! Visit my blog for writing samples, or let me know if you would like me to send you a more specific type of writing sample!

I try to post like two things a day myself, so I’m not really in need of any content. But at the same time, I’m dying to know how some total stranger on the other side of that website would be able to provide content for sites that provide really specialized information. I write about abuse, addiction, and recovery, and how they show up in pop culture; would they turn me away, or provide a bunch of badly thought-out too-basic posts, or surprise me with really good content? Would they come here and post really good information about affiliate marketing tactics and SEO and web marketing, or would they be like “Um… we rewrote an entry we found on a related blog and presented it as our own”? I am dying to know… but not quite dying enough to cough up the money for 100 articles!

$16 for 250 words – that’s about 6.4 cents a word. Seems like you could get the same thing by posting an ad on Craigslist anytime; there are plenty of writers who would jump at the opportunity to get steady freelance work, and five to ten cents a word is still the going rate at a lot of publications. Plus you’d get to check their work out first….

Just requested a price list from PureContent. I have used Elance before so I’ll see how they compare.

  22. Sean W
    March 20, 2008 at 1:42 pm

100-500 articles would be $16 per 250 word article.

This is one of our biggest problems. Content is one of the hardest thing to come up with. You are going to want to have quality content and that is time consuming. I am going to check this out and hopefully we will be able to save time which as you know is Shoemoney$$$

I have seen articles like product reviews all over the place. Dupe is pretty common. Run some of your pages through a dupli checker and you may get a shock.

If you order some content to be written for you, I guess it can only be posted somewhere else when someone orders from the same author content on the same topic. This author would then copy the content he already has written and sell it to the second customer. But is there any other chance of hand-made content (not article scraped from Wikipedia) to be non-unique? I don’t think so…

It would be interesting to see what kind of content they could truly provide before committing to 100 articles. (They should offer one article first to be purchased)

You’d think being a content company they’d have better grammar than this on their site:

“We spent a long time developing a small high quality product list. We feel that it caters for all types of website owner.

“If you have any questions or require a price list Please contact us and we will get back to right away.

Sounds like another non-US writing company.

I have not had much luck with outsourced content. Current strategy is to bring in more guest posts and hire 2 part time writers for the daily news / blog posts we produce. Either way, I’ll be checking out this service as well.

Thanks for the resource. I’ve contacted them and they’ve already responded back with pricing. Imagine that, a company that actually responds to potential clients… what a concept.

Like you say… “Good” content is one of the anchors to GREAT results. I currently use a one-man show to help with article content for different sites… I have had bad luck outsourcing to overseas labor due to the language barrier.

I will have to go and check them out for various reasons… Thanks for the resource!
