Shoeperstar Aaron Kronis Rocked Did Not Dissapoint!
Last month Aaron Kronis won the shoeperstar contest for SXSW. The contest was co-sponsored by myself and IZEA. In winning the contest Aaron won a all expense paid trip to the SXSW conference in Austin Texas last week and also $1,000.00 spending money.
When he showed up we gave him a plain white t-shirt and told him in order to get his room keys he had to invade the blog haus and get 30 websites and business cards on his shirt. We figured this would be a great opportunity to meet at least half of the technorati top 50 bloggers.
Aaron was a total rockstar…. like I am not just saying that. If you did not know any better you would have thought he was the biggest star there. My friend (and fellow elite retreat speaker) Guy Kawasaki paid a girl $20.00 just to go up and find out who he was and what he was doing… then he was happy to participate!
Other people that got in on the fun:
The one and only Problogger Darren Rowse
Brian Clark aka Copyblogger:
Krista from photrade Whats she writing?
lolz:
Technosailer (nice to meet you finally)
Robert Scoble was to much in a hurry to participate:
So Aaron was also required to get each of the bloggers to make a sound so we could put together a beatbox soundboard… here it is!
It was a REALLY awesome time and I enjoyed hanging out with Aaron. He is truly a superstar and I would say he was a good sport but he totally was a cool guy and someone I look forward to possibly working with in the future. Good job Aaron!

Nice remixing job!
Great pictures and video, man I missed being there.
the video was nice …. wondering what the small arrow is pointing to lol.
What a clever way to get Aaron to meet his fellow bloggers. Also clever is Krista from photrade…hahaha.
The editing of that video is GREAT! Good work! I watched it twice and enjoyed it both times.
Wow… how could you guys get together always? How i wish i could meet all of you later.
The small arrow is point to….never mind.
thanks. I was trying to figure out who the guy was in all of the pictures with people signing his shirt and why he was doing it! now I know. He was a good sport for sure!!
hey shoe whats with the finger pointing that is my self brand thingy - lol
haha the video great!
Very cool, was wondering what the significance of those photos were when I saw them earlier. Guy looks pretty excited to get some shots of his own.
Funniest video in a long time. Love it.
The video is pretty cool! Must have taken a lot of work to put that together.
PAID A GIRL???!!! PAID A GIRL??!!!! It was me, and I didn’t take the money, and it was to say ‘who the hell are you?”
Paid a girl. OMG
Apologies! I actually came in at the very end and thats what I was told!
Dying laughing. Really. I think I may have to use this to tell everyone I’m Guy’s Paid Girl. How’s that for a tag line? Really, I’m laughing. It’s ok.
Wow. Darren has hair.
I love the armpit signature and the beatbox idea was so cool!!!
Lol… that was really funny beatbox!
Cheers~
Did you guys drink any beer for St. Patricks day? Who’s not wearing green?
Nice remixing job
Thanks Jeremy, and also to Ted Murphy of Izea, (with Travis and Ashley) and everyone who made that such an amazing and memorable trip. Also thanks for all the love from people i have never met who have supported my efforts and enjoyed my post ‘69 reasons…’ - so who should be on my blogroll?
lemme know and i’ll add you.

Aaron rocks. He’s the greatest.
Haha, that’s a cool beatboxing video. Seems like he had a lot of fun.
special shout out to BRITT from izea who was the ‘brains behind the operation’ but didnt get to go to sxsw
that seems like a lot of fun. great idea.
That looks AWESOME. I wish I could have seen that!
Kind of cool seeing Darren Rowse there. He had to travel a long ways.
I was wondering who that guy was…
This’d be a great icebreaker at any event.

Not only you
I too missed the show
I can’t wait to leave work so I can crank that video. Nice creativity. You are clearly both shoeperstars!
I’m always surprised that people don’t know that - I think from the front it looks like I’m bald but back and sides there is plenty
a FREAKING long way
Looks like it was a great event. Aaron rocked it like a Shoeperstar! lol @ what Krista wrote on the shirt.
That video edit is awesome as well. Great job!
~Terry
It looked like Aaron rocked it out and you all had some fun… COOL
Haha, that video was pretty cool
Yeah, that was impressive
Yeah, to be honest I thought you were definitely bald…
The armpit signature and beatbox were definitely creative and must’ve took some hard work.
Kinda bad move from Guy. But seems that he had some fun though.. so its okay
yeah I bet it did
uh oh … you are in trouble now lol …
Just notiched Darren’s watch … pink eh… Thats a bit different
A pink watch? What is that??
Hey Shoe,
In an attempt to immortalize your name (as if it already isn’t), I included you in my new song “The SEO Blues”. I hope you dig it. You can listen to it here:

Glad I made a brief appearance in the video and I’m also the background girl in the picture of Guy Kawasaki writing on Aaron’s shirt. Unfortunately, I wasn’t the girl he paid $20 to ask you what you were doing.
@aruni on twitter
look close at Darren of problogger’s watch .. the dial of it is pink…
Yeah, kinda different. But if everyone would be mainstream.. where would be the fun.
The video is really great and good pics
Funny video, do you guys do any work at these or is it all play???
