Lost Season 4 the Juliet eps

by Jeremy Schoemaker on March 8, 2008 · 55 comments

After some of the best ever shows I thought the other night really was weak.

Any thoughts on who Ben’s guy is on the boat? Rebecca Kelly told me she had a theory it was Michael. (the guy who left on the boat with his son in season 2). I thought that was a pretty good theory.

Also who do you think are the Full Oceanic 6? I guess we know Jack, Kate, Hugo, Sayid. We know Claire’s baby makes it but I do not think that kid counts as it was born on the island. I am guessing Claire does not make it since Kate was taking care of her son…

I have to say Sawyer is my favorite.

Ooooooo….excellent theory on Michael being Ben’s guy on the boat.

In the preview for next week’s episode, they said we’ll see a face that we never expected to see again. I wonder if that face might be Michael now. Hmmm…

As always, Lost leaves us with more questions than answers.

My wife and I are digging this season. Almost too many new twists, but keeps us guessing. :-)

Yeah, the last 3 episodes were just awsome! Did you notice that Pennys father buys the Logbook of the “Black Rock” (ship on the island) from one Hanso guy? So we may asume that the weird stuff happening on the island is not entirely man-made but might have some natural cause. I find that the most fascinating aspect of this season so far. Of course the flash-forwards are also great and let us all puzzled what happens to Jack, Said, ben and the others.

Michael is a good guess. I also thought about Charlie, but that is probably blown as he is showing up as a ghost for hugo. I thought the englishman(forget his name) was one of the 6

Sawyer makes it to. He is killing people for Ben in a flash forward a couple episodes ago.

This could be a longshot, but what if Ben was one of the Oceanic Six and assumed the identity of one of the passengers? Just a theory.

Also, could Ben’s guy on the boat be the helicopter pilot. I am wondering if this is the reason he didn’t fly that oceanic flight that day. Would love to see what others think.

Also, I believe it is Sayid and not Sawyer who makes it. Sayid was the one killing people for Ben a couple episodes ago. I don’t think Sawyer wants to leave the island, like he hinted to Kate.

Also, I didn’t think that was Claire’s baby that made it with Kate. My theory is that Kate is pregnant with Sawyer’s baby. thoughts?

I haven’t watched this show yet. I heard you talking about it on the radio show the other day. I’m interested, but are there any places to watch it online? Like CBS’s InnerTube?

SPOILER: Sun and Jin round out the Oceanic 6 (next episode is Sun and Jin – centric, both have been doing the talk show rounds, too). Michael is on the boat as per IMDB.com casting info.

I am betting Michael on the boat…

Other 2 Oceanic 6: Jin and Sun.

I am guessing, but it seems plausible.

Jack’s dad was in the last episode of Season 3. I don’t know if he’s one of the six, but he is definitely still alive.

Reply

12 shamess March 8, 2008 at 2:00 pm

Definitely not Michael. He’s not been contracted for any more episodes, has he?

I think the six are Kate, Jack, Hurley, Sayid, Desmond (Penelope’s gonna get in touch with her dad and demand him) and then… someone else.

I’ve stopped being bothered with thinking up theories; I just like sitting back and being amazed :)

Lost is much better this series than series 3. I havnt watched the latest ep, but really enjoyed series 4 so far. What annoys me the most is that we know it is going to go on for ages before we get anywhere near a conclusion.

I’m just not into the Lost thing. I’ve watched about 5 minutes of it total for as long as it’s been on. The whole premise seems idiotic to me. The last lost episode I watched was something about a three hour tour and had 2 babes on it, Ginger and Mary Ann.

Sawyer is the best…although liquered-up bearded Jack is cool too :)

That really would be the best ending episode ever…Gillighan wakes up and says…”Skipper, Skipper…I just had the weirdest dream about people that crashed into an Island…” Skipper then says, “Sure little buddy go back to sleep, no more Coconut butter before bed!”

Then Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing” comes on…Fade to Black :)

It’s definitely michael that’s on the boat…I thought that was a given. They already said they will bring him back this year.

20 Sly March 8, 2008 at 4:39 pm

The last two of the Oceanic 6… It’s got to be Michael & Walt. And I think Michael was the guy in the casket at the funeral that Jack went to in the Flash Forward.

Remember when Ben sent the two “off the island” on the little boat way back a season or two ago? I’m wondering, with the time issues with the island, how long it’s been for Mike & Walt compared to the rest of the islanders. Longer? Shorter? Will Walt be grown up, like when Locke was him in a vision?

Yeah, I’m a dork :)

Definitely Michael. We know from casting that he’s coming back this season. The voiceover told us it’d be a face we didn’t expect to see again and I don’t think they’re bringing back anyone from the dead. Lastly, who better to captain back a ship to the island than the man that captained a boat off the island? It’ll be Michael.

Reply

22 Matt March 8, 2008 at 4:43 pm

Desmond can’t be one of the Oceanic 6 as he wasn’t on the Oceanic flight. He got to the island on his boat.

Reply

Here be spoilers

Yes, it is 100% definitely Michael who is on the boat. And here’s photo evidence:

Michael on the boat

As for the rest of the Oceanic Six – It’s Jin and Sun.

Did you notice that when Desmond was having his mind travel a couple of weeks ago that it was asked (by maybe Faraday) whether he had been exposed to any electromagnetism recently? This seems to imply that mind travel and subsequent possible death seem to occur when someone is leaving the island and has been exposed to electromagnetism.

Now think back to when the hatch exploded, there was a huge amount of electromagnetism released then and Desmond was right in the middle of it. But where was everyone else? Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hurley were being captured by Ben on the dock just after Michael was given a boat. Sayid, Sun and Jin were on the yacht looking at four-toed statues. Hence, there were away from the electromagnetism and would be able to leave the island without experiencing “mind travel death”

We know Jack, Kate, Hurley and Sayid are Oceanic Six. That leaves the only remaining Oceanic survivors who were away from the hatch to be Sun, Jin, Sawyer, Michael and Walt.

Why Sun and Jin? Well don’t forget that pregnant women die on the island. That’s a pretty good case for Sun and if you were Jin would you send her off with Sawyer or Michael? I wouldn’t

Another reason is that next week’s episode just happens to be Sun and Jin centric and promos for it state that the final membersof the Oceanic Six will be revealed in the episode. My bet is therefore a Sun and Jin flashforward to them when they’re off the island.

You’re missing out if you haven’t been watching the Wire on HBO. I’d recommend watching all the DVDs from the beginning. It’s a genius series.

Enjoy reading you blog.

To the person suggesting The Wire. Best TV show ever!

As for the Ben’s man on the boat, I think Michael is too obvious. Sure Michael might be on the boat, but why would he spy for Ben? I then Ben’s man on the boat is Ben himself. We’ve seen that the boat and the island exist in different times, so why can’t Ben be in both places at once?

i think Sayid is the guy on the boat. imho the episode with ben and sayid was – before – the crash but im not sure about this, but there is no flashback-story between sayids “soldier-life” and the plain crash.

34 filmfangirl March 9, 2008 at 12:29 pm

Spoiler pics?! Urgh. I think it’s much more fun to speculate… I thought it’d be Sayid because of the flash-forward with him as Ben’s personal assistant/assasin, but I think Michael is a much more likely possibility. I’d been curious as to why Michael (Harold Perrineau) was still listed in the credits, and this would clearly explain that!

michael is obviously the one on the boat, but that just doesn’t seem logical to me where’s his son and why is he working for ben. i love lost but it is also the most frustrating television show ever written. I guess when you stretch a show two or three seasons past the original plot line, you have to just throw some unnecessary twists and turns

I loved Lost during its first season…but lost interest in the second season because things seemed to drag. I remember two episodes that covered the exact same events but just from a different point of view. Has it gotten that much better? I keep hearing real good things about it….

Erica, Lost continues to be amazing. It might seem frustrating, but it’s so worth it. We’re getting a lot of answers this season. Those answers might come in the form of more questions, but they are so satisfying, nonetheless.

Hmm.. I thought Ben was part of the “6″ crew .. wasnt it Oceanic “8″? could have sworn I heard that once or twice … but, I could be wrong.

I was suspecting that the “Ben’s source on the boat” .. was Ben himself. Something like a time-travel or something similar to what Desmond was experiencing.
… but – again – I could be wrong.

Reply

44 Flimjo March 11, 2008 at 10:14 am

No, it was the Oceanic 6. So fair, we have Jack, Kate, Hurley, and Sayid. I think Sawyer doesn’t make it off. Ben isn’t part of the 6 because he wasn’t on the flight (Oceanic 816). Interesting theory on Ben being his own source on the boat. Who knows. This show is unbelievable, and I will believe anything at this point.

The guy on the boat is Michael as we were told in the trailers that we’d see someone we never expected to see again so it’s almost 100% it’s him.

Locke confuses me, he changes his mind about people too much! Sawyer is definately my favourite, just makes me laugh the way he gets annoyed about silly things, like a horseshoe game!

New episode to watch now!
