Back @twitter

42 responses..

So been using twitter the last couple days…

I am digging it this time around. Michael Gray took me outside @SMX and explained it to me and how he uses it. It was pretty fascinating and really eye opening. I also started using a application called twitterrific

Also while doing the radio show last night it really brought a whole new dimension.

Right now I feel as if Twitter is a nice in-between of a blog and a instant messenger client.

If you want to follow me I am @shoemoney or http://www.twitter.com/shoemoney and shoot me a @shoemoney !!!!

tweet on.

    Ditto. I checked it out after the show, but hadn’t given it any “real” thought. It seemed like it brought a cool dimension to the show.

    Good to see ya on there, Shoe!

    It really wasn’t as fun and useful when not that many peeps were using it… but now that more and more peeps (or tweeps?) in our industry are adopting it, it has become a lot more useful… and more fun.

    Heya KD - tweeps… i can dig it!

    It is becoming quite addictive. I used to avoid it but now I get most of the breaking news from twitter. People like @646 keep you updated with earthquakes, @mrbabyman with social media etc.

    Glad you finally came to an agreement with Twitter. Its as if people post to twitter first then make a blog post about it. So we get to find out first. Example would be the UK Earth Quake.

    Good to see you on twitter Shoe.

    For PC users I can warmly recommend twhirl. It’s multi-platform so it’s an alternative for Mac-users too. It runs on Adobe Air. http://www.twhirl.org/

    Twitter is great. I heard sending a message in twitter is one of the fastest way to get indexed by Google.

    @March 8, 2008 8:29 pm

    That would be good news. Where did you hear or read about that?

    This is just like myspace and facebook right? I just find it harder to use but it looks great for networking. I have seen a lot of people in my industry on Twitter.

    I find twitter useful for a quick glance across a broad range of people, certainly helps in finding interesting topics to blog about, and provides some seriously entertaining snippets of conversations.

    I know a lot of people don’t see the value in twittering (I’m one of them, I haven’t “seen the light, yet.”) But I’m glad you found a way to take advantage of the micro-blogging concept.

    @March 9, 2008 7:22 pm

    Well, I just use twitter for my site and some friends, not so useful anyway. :)
