haha yea it does, except without the best part: the scroll ball!

  3. eadbert said on February 20th, 2008 at 2:44 am

will they work in europe ?

  4. domprofesor said on February 20th, 2008 at 3:34 am

A google phone? Man, they are everywhere!!!

  5. MC said on February 20th, 2008 at 4:13 am

Thing looks absolutely horrendous. Nothing differential there. If you want a phone like this, would you go for this terrible looking piece of j running on software that’s never been tested and an afterthought for the company that owns it in their quest to conquer the world or would you go for an iphone, nokia communicator, blackberry etc.? This is going to be another one of those products G messes up (you know, like all the rest except adsense/adwords/search!)….

  6. wallpaperGuru said on February 20th, 2008 at 4:44 am

looks cheap - hope the build quality has improved - my samsung is flimsy

  7. Royal Radande said on February 20th, 2008 at 4:46 am

We’ll see how this plays out.

  8. Android Phone said on February 20th, 2008 at 6:12 am

I doubt this will ever happen. Will Google want to alienate all the various companies in the open handset alliance by selecting only one to create their google “gphone” with? I think it undermines the goals of android.

That being said, I think the Samsung Android Phone is a pretty cool idea… but what I think is more intriguing and sick looking is the Alienware Android Enabled Phone design mockups.

  9. Juno said on February 20th, 2008 at 6:20 am

Hahha funny, but it looks very good. Last time, it seems that is already very soon we will be watching on television google TV, prepare a plate of google, eat in fast-food McGoogle etc

  10. Alex at Net-Entrepreneur.com said on February 20th, 2008 at 6:21 am

Pretty sure that it would work out just fine. Its a good mix of companies…
and even though some thing Google is a negative, negative*positive=positive right?

Now that is cool. I have a treo 750, nice smart phone.

I wonder how the samsung will stack up feature wise. I mean I am sure plenty of people will buy it just for the G branding :P

    Cheers
    Marc

I will buy this one and try, my ipone became old.

  13. Richard said on February 20th, 2008 at 7:09 am

I wonder how Motorola and Apple are going to respond to these devices???

  14. Syed Balkhi said on February 20th, 2008 at 7:10 am

i am wondering which phone companies will support this… because iPhone is only with AT&T i hope that is not the case with this one.

  15. Affiliate Confession said on February 20th, 2008 at 7:25 am

So is this officially the rumored Google phone?

  16. Simlock verwijderen said on February 20th, 2008 at 8:36 am

    Nice tool.

  17. Linda Tong said on February 20th, 2008 at 8:41 am

I would only hope Gomgle would have several mobile vendors. I am not, sure but I think a lot of Samsung phones are used via T mobile. I could be wrong though. I am sure a few are with Cingulair.

Is there no where left to hide?

  19. Gecko Tales said on February 20th, 2008 at 9:24 am

I like the look and feel of that phone. It does look like a crackberry as someone stated above.

  20. Paul said on February 20th, 2008 at 10:39 am

I am interested in seeing the functions of the gphone. I know that I do not like the stylist.

  21. RacerX said on February 20th, 2008 at 10:40 am

…or it looks like a Treo. No wow factor here. It will all depend on how the OS is.

  22. supervisor said on February 20th, 2008 at 11:10 am

looks like a fake to me .. i’m sure google will release android phone but that cant be an official pre release picture. the “G” button is the best :D haha rofl!

  23. Think Like An SOB said on February 20th, 2008 at 11:17 am

This one, I am assuming since it is open source, will probably be up for grabs for any carrier, but I think GSM carriers only.

  24. Think Like An SOB said on February 20th, 2008 at 11:18 am

Get rid of the stylus and it’s a good phone.

  25. Terry Tay said on February 20th, 2008 at 2:09 pm

Is this the first step of Google moving into the mobile phone business? Will we see an iPhone vs the gPhone soon?

I like the look of the phone and if google is involved in any way, it should only be a benefit to Samsung. Google has become a very successful brand in such a short period of time so Samsung made a good choice in aligning itself with google.

I would like to get my hands on the phone so I can test it out before I can make a complete review on it.

  26. Affiliate Confession said on February 20th, 2008 at 2:49 pm

Google knows everything you do on the net, buy this phone and they will know ehere you are every time you carry the phone with you.

  27. Start Blogging said on February 20th, 2008 at 2:50 pm

That’s a pretty nice phone. I like Samsung phones.

  28. Start Blogging said on February 20th, 2008 at 2:51 pm

Verizon Wireless carries a lot too.

  29. Davide Di Cillo said on February 20th, 2008 at 2:52 pm

a while ago i wrote a list of funny problems you could have with a google phone:

  30. Paul said on February 20th, 2008 at 5:19 pm

Does anyone suggest that I get a .mobi site. Or do you think that it is not needed? I would like to here your thoughts. Because with Google entering the mobile phone business soon web surfing on the go will be a must.

  31. Hammer said on February 20th, 2008 at 5:37 pm

I’m waiting for something that is as good as the iphone for web surfing and has a tactile keyboard and wifi. I like the LG Voyager and might buy one but I don’t think it has wifi. If the Voyager had wifi I wouldn’t need to take my laptop with me anymore and could update my blogs, check email and do everything I do with my laptop.

  32. Affiliate Confession said on February 20th, 2008 at 10:18 pm

Yea, I agree, no wow. The iPhone has wow, this is just, BFD another phone, yawn…

  33. Erica DeWolf said on February 20th, 2008 at 11:05 pm

For some reason I don’t like the look. I love the availability of the qwerty keyboard, but i think it looks way too much like a blackberry, not unique enough for the much anticipated “Google Phone”

  34. Erica DeWolf said on February 20th, 2008 at 11:06 pm

I would recommend checking out the Helio Ocean. It has a more unique look than the iPhone, but has similar (and sometimes better) features. It’s currently my dream phone…

  35. Erica DeWolf said on February 20th, 2008 at 11:08 pm

I hate the stylus! I agree. The features might be ground breaking, but the design of the look and feel of the phone needs much work.

  36. Syed Balkhi said on February 21st, 2008 at 12:47 am

yeah alot of samsung phones are with verizon as well.

  37. Syed Balkhi said on February 21st, 2008 at 12:50 am

if it is GSM Carriers only then it eliminates Verizon already and i hate that. I am hoping that it is not GSM Carriers only, so i can have this phone.

  38. Syed Balkhi said on February 21st, 2008 at 12:54 am

i dont know if i will recommend that, but hey it is really your choice because i think .com pages are available from the mobile also ;)

  39. t0nka said on February 21st, 2008 at 12:55 am

why would you need wifi when you have EVDO? thats the whole beauty of going with verizon or sprint, i dont think any CDMA phones have WiFi b/c you have EVDO

  40. domprofesor said on February 21st, 2008 at 1:36 am

I own a Samsung phone but if it says Google on it i won’t buy.

  41. RacerX said on February 21st, 2008 at 1:41 am

Kind of has the feel of a test ballon to gauge reaction. I would if I were them. Bigg opportunity and only one chance to do it right.

  42. BloggingForBillions.com said on February 21st, 2008 at 1:55 am

Right now I am happy with my Sony Ericsson. It is not the best phone but it gets the job done.

  43. Ovidiu - GuitarFlame.com said on February 21st, 2008 at 3:01 am

I think they went into too many industries. This thing with mobile…I don’t know.

  44. roentarre said on February 21st, 2008 at 3:39 am

Seriously I never know Google produces mobile phones!

  45. Allan Stewart said on February 21st, 2008 at 5:51 am

Google phone, cool. I want one.

  46. Syed Balkhi said on February 21st, 2008 at 6:42 am

but why ? thats the fun part lol

  47. File Snatcher said on February 21st, 2008 at 7:58 am

We’ll all just have to wait and see how awesome it is when it arrives. I’m sure it’ll be better than what the public expects.

As far as the looks goes, it gets an “ehh undecided” from me.

  48. andy said on February 21st, 2008 at 8:28 am

not happy with my samsung - too flimsy and this one doesn’t look too sturdy either

  49. Mike Mothner said on February 21st, 2008 at 1:40 pm

Although I’m sure this new Google phone has some very unique features, in terms of design it does not even come close to comparing to the iphone. As someone stated earlier, it simply looks like another type of blackberry. I don’t imagine that consumers will be likely to choose this new g-phone over the irresistible iphone.

  50. Chuck said on February 21st, 2008 at 4:09 pm

I think it is interesting that the phones will be Google branded even though manufactured by Samsung. I’m sure that Google pays some sort of royalty for this privilege. Will it pay off?

I think this will be a worthy alternative to the iPhone. It will probably end up hurting Microsoft and Windows Mobile more than Jobs and Co.

  51. Paid By Internet said on February 21st, 2008 at 5:30 pm

Yeah, time to buy more google stock @ 500+ a share. Do it, Do it

This looks like the big phones the freighter people have on LOST.

  55. Ali said on February 26th, 2008 at 5:05 am

They look like big phones. But they are NOT. Google is a big player and it is a big monopoly company with each other more than billions of ideas, knowledge and money!

  56. eMarketing Chat said on February 27th, 2008 at 7:17 am

Wondering if it will come to Israel as well. The phone itself looks very cool!

  57. Paid Surveys Reviewed said on March 2nd, 2008 at 9:30 am

And I wouldn’t put it past them to find out which is the nearest billboard to you and change the advert to suit you! The Trueman Show is just around the corner!

  58. HardGeek said on March 11th, 2008 at 9:02 pm
