Giving AdToll A Go

adtoll

I have been checking out this Australian based ad network called AdToll for a little bit now. Its been on my “to check out list” for a couple weeks and last night I finally got around to setting up an account. A few friends had told me it was like AdBrite only it offered publishers and advertisers many more options. I thought I would give it a go and see what happens.

So to start if you would like to advertise a 125×125 on the right sidebar of shoemoney.com prices start at only a couple dollars per day. They run in rotation and there are several spots available. I expect them to be sold pretty fast at the low cost of only $20 per week (there are discounts per longer commitment.

So why AdToll? Well as I said before it was compared to AdBrite but I did a little investigating and …. really its not even close.

On the Publisher side: They do CPC based pricing and not CPM for banner ads. I always hated that about AdBrite. They also offer a MUCH higher percentage payout and give you better editorial control over your ads.

On the Advertiser side: You get much better demographics and statistics where your ads are being placed.

They also offer some nice geographical data not just on traffic but clicks. AND its not like some bullshit Alexa stat.

Here is a advertiser with some data to show you what I am talking about:

Here is what my page looks like when you goto it. There is not very much data on it right now:

Some other interesting things. You can use AdToll for sites that normally you could not use competitors for. Like poker/gambling/porn/adult. Both as a advertiser and publisher. If you do not want those ads on your sites you just do not approve them.

I look for good things from this company and am going to give them a go for a while.

Looks cool, wonder what their minimum traffic level is, in order to sign up?

We have no minimum traffic requirement at AdToll but we do require your site either have some use or contain meaningful and useful content. We won’t accept a site thats just full of ads for example.

I have been using AdToll for a while with great success. Very easy to use, to sell ads, and to buy ads. High payouts, and I even have 47 referrals already (about 6% of the sites they have :-) ) I have already bought and ad here!

Ooo, I think there is no minimum requirement for traffic – I signed with a new blog that has something about 15-25 visits per day only!

This actually looks really awesome. I like how they run down how many views/clicks there are with a CPC calculation.

We had many issues with Adbrite, especially with fraudulent publishers… Seems like Adbrite does not check from where and how the click are performed (quality traffic with traffic generated by click scripts).

Shoe, this is not a spam comment ;) I just want to warn fellow bloggers if they want to get traffic from Adbrite.

I’ve tried adbrite, advolcano, and wil be trying this as well as bidvertiser shortly. Both of my sites are currently very low traffic though, so I’m guessing this is the main problem holding me back from getting actual results out of these programs. Both currently hold a very loyal base of readers though, so I’m hoping to expand it through word of mouth.

As someone who has tried over 30 different ad agencies and whose main niche is the testing and reviewing of all the different AdSense Alternatives out there,I can tell you that you will go a long way before finding a more responsive and professional support system them that found with AdToll.
Support is the major shortfall of many ad agencies, and it is refreshing to see a decent one
They are young, but seem very well set to become a major contender-I too give them a hat`s off.

My company advertise our clients and ourselves through Adtoll using PPC video ads, they are extremely effective with 5%+ CTR.

Also the service is 10 STAR!

My Advice is to give Adtoll a try, let the results speak for themselves.

Well, looks like another well recommended site on shoemoney.com, what a shocker! I started thinking the other day, “what $$$ would I put on the information I have found at shoemoney alone?”

Thanks for the heads up, again!

Very strange considering the traffic is coming from this web site… we find that the ad media plays a big part as well as landing page. For example vikingblogger has a lot of info on the front page so for some there is no reason to click anywhere else.

I must admit I went to the site and I bounced straight off because I read all I needed to.

I am giving them a go as well. I found them on digitalpoint and I want to see if they will pay more than adsense does for blogging niches.

We find success is really in the hands of the publisher. Lets look at Jeremy for example… he is using AdToll serving the 125×125 banner… he SOLD out in the first day and is booked out until the end of February. Why? Because his price is realistic, he has a qualiy site and has decent targeted traffic.

Jeremy is the perfect example of what to do…. and even if you don’t have the sort of traffic and attention this site does you can still be successful. We have many publishers making a fair bit of money and selling a lot of ads. Its all about expectations… my advice is start your ads cheap, get advertisers on board and go from there.

We are building up a very valuable and efficient marketplace with plenty of advertisers scouring the site directory daily looking to book sponsored ads.

I’ve never heard of AdToll, but had thought of signing up with AdBrite. I did buy a 1 day ad with Shoemoney just to see how AdToll works and it seemed pretty slick. I didn’t get a lot of clicks, but then it was just my logo too. So far, what do you think Jeremy?

I had never heard of AdToll, but had thought about signing up with AdBrite. I bought a one day ad for $4 on Shoemoney just to see how AdToll worked from the buyer’s perspective and it seemed pretty slick. I didn’t get alot of clicks, but then again, I just used my logo. How do you like AdToll so far Jeremy?
