The Best Ringtone Affiliate Program

By Jeremy Schoemaker 22 comments »

I get asked a lot about which is the best affiliate program. There was even a recent thread on digitalpoint talking about it.

In that thread I gave my answer:

Flycell has the highest payouts ... Every network and their mom has it. Payouts range from like 17-19 per lead depending on traffic. There has been several issues with Flycell everything from lead scrubbing to just not paying out and also hitting budget caps.

I still do the best with Azoogleads Dadamobile and Blinko offers. They pay lower but the conversion is better. I see 1.40 epc's with these compared to sub 1.00 flycell

The bottom line is the best ringtone affiliate program is the one that works best for you... duh...

You could spend a few hours and sign up to every affiliate program under the sun then just rotate the link on your landing page or search offer.

Ringtone offers pay out between $6 to $20 and you can't use that information to determine what is the best ringtone affiliate program for you.

Just rotate your links and let the stats tell YOU what program is best for you.

So how can you do this? Well you could get technical and use Openads (which now has a hosted solution), Make text links then even weight those links if you wanted...

But a VERY simple way in PHP would just be to setup an array of all the urls then call them randomly like this:

PHP:
  1. #Ringtone offers
  2.
  3.
  4. #AzoogleAds Offers
  5.
  6. $azoogleblinko="http://www.azoogleads.com/blinko-offer.html";
  7. $azoogledadamobile="http://www.azoogleads.com/dadamobile.html";
  8. $azoogleflycell="http://www.azoogleads.com/flycell.html";
  9. $azoogleother="http://www.azoogleads.com/other.html";
  10.
  11. #Incentaclick Offers
  12.
  13. $incentblinko="http://www.incentaclickurl.com/blinko-offer.html";
  14. $incentdadamobile="http://www.incentaclickurl.com/dadamobile.html";
  15. $incentflycell="http://www.incentaclickurl.com/flycell.html";
  16. #Max Bounty Offers
  17.
  18. #Commission Junction Offers
  19.
  20. #Never Blue offers
  21.
  22. $ringtonelinks = array("$azoogleblinko", "$azoogledadamobile", "$azoogleflycell","$azoogleother", "$incentblinko","$incentdadamobile","$incentflycell");
  23.
  24. $rand_key = array_rand($ringtonelinks, 1);
  25. $link= "$ringtonelinks[$rand_key]";
  26.
  27. print "This is the best place to get <a href=\"$link\">Ringtones</a>";
  28.
  29. print "<BR><BR>";
  30.
  31. print "This time it linked to $link";
  32. ?>

Keep in mind this is a VERY VERY VERY simple way to do this. I mean I wrote it with my feeble skills. If I wanted to go further I would have dave write it with weights and more bells/whistles. Your stats will tell you what offer works the best for you!

    This is a great post. One of the ones that keeps me coming back 5-10 times a day waiting for the gem.

    Nothing wrong with that code, sometimes simple works best. About the 1.40 epc’s, isn’t that low. I see much higher than that from just the usual PPC ad networks? You must have some serious traffic going on.

    Thanks for the information. I’ve heard good things about Flycell too. Thanks for the link to that digitalpoint thread.

    If you weren’t doing this already, you shouldn’t be in ringtones.

    Well you have a much nicer way of going about it then I would if I was constantly asked.

    Funny thing is this is something very simple and basic that everyone that is testing should do something of the sorts.

    But we already know the majority that ask for such broad guidance will never implement the advice given to them. Instead they will just sit their waiting for someone else to do it and wonder why they suck at it.

    Here’s a cleaned up version of your code:

    I am not sure if this is the place of code where you would want to look at stats but it seems that there would be lots more added to the stats and there would be a need for weighing the randomize. I would assume you might have more success with different ads by region, referring search engine, browser, even OS. I could be wrong but stats could look at everything. I might create a script that looks at all of these things as well. Not sure if analytics does that for you or not… Also not sure if the code was only intended for testing off the bat, but for a complete continual test you might want to include weighing the rand so that you can keep testing.

    There are sooo many doing the ringtone thing now…incl Shoe!

    Is this a tapped market?

  15. Timurlane said on January 23rd, 2008 at 9:57 am

    Ringtones are one of the most “tapped” market there is right now. Along with dating. Both are hard to break into and is very competitive. But there are people still doing it so….

    Thanks for the heads up. I am going to look further into ringtones affiliates.

  18. Alexander said on January 23rd, 2008 at 5:22 pm

    It’s not hard to get into and there’s still a lot of money to be made, you just have to get it right from the start. Not saying much more, but I get tired of everyone and their mom saying there can’t be money made within this market.

    It’s nice to add banners to an already exisiting site and watch them rotate, but are there affiliate programs that actually let you integrate content into your site? I think this is a much smarter way to go. Anybody doing this, and live examples?

  20. urlman said on January 25th, 2008 at 3:19 pm

    Hey for some reason when you copy paste this there some crap on it.
    The line numbers

  21. Simlock verwijderen said on January 26th, 2008 at 4:47 pm

    I don“t have live examples. But some of my friends are making money with their blog and sell products which are niched by their blog. It makes them 1500 dollar a month. A nice number of revenue.
