Howard did not just get voted out of government but he himself was defeated for his seat in the Parliament. This is only the second time in Austalian political history that a sitting Prime Minister has lost his seat. It was very embarassing for him. He should have gone 3 years ago and his last term in office was a waste of time for this country. He last touch with the voters big time. He'll have us in Iraq for 100 more years (he said it, check youtube) plus he wants to bomb Iran, etc. He seems a little trigger happy when it comes to war and foreign policy. I'm all set with that. Plus he's in bed with lobbyists. I despise how our government is for sale. All parties/candidates do it to a certain extent, but McCain is real bad. I'm voting Obama. He's smart. He's respected. He's not out to start wars. He's not in the lobbyists' pockets. He doesn't owe favors to all these lobbyists and corporations. And I think he truly want to move the country in a good direction.
