Quick recap.
Monday
Flew in… took it easy. Played some stupid texas holdem table game… lost like $400 in an hour.. then went over to the poker room at the Wynn and won that back (1/3 NL) plus a little more. I went to bed pretty early like 1ish
Tuesday
Went over to the expo… talked to people for a while then walked across to the Renaissance hotel (best calamari in the world). 2 orders of calimari and about 8 skinny pirates later went back to the hotel to get ready for the Rubicon get together at Pure.
Tuesday night went to Pure at Caesars Palace. We got a private table and 5 bottles….. was a great time. Thanks for hosting Rubicon!
Here is some pics from that event:
Wednesday
I slept until about 11 or so. I was really dragging ass. Got up early got some coffee and headed over to the expo. The expo hall itself I thought was really small. Maybe I missed where some booths are but I counted about 10 total booths? I got in and of course headed to the BOTW booth. Seriously anyone who ever wants to get a booth at a conference just get one next to the BOTW guys. There booth is always packed with connected industry people. So I got there and Rob from BOTW made mention that my face was all over the conference… I had no clue what he was talking about then I he took me over to the PPP booth and showed me this:
Pretty cool! coming off the awesome success of our contest for Pubcon Ted from pay per post wanted to do something similar for SXSW. I was on board and said lets go for it. I was still really surprised to see he got something up so quick ;). So go get signed up for the shoeperstar contest now (more on this soon). Hung out and met people, took pictures, did interviews, and just hanged for a while then headed back to the hotel to get ready for night life.
Wednesday night - The general plan was to hang out at the Rubicon suite until about midnight or so and then get a table and play some holdem. We never made it out of the suite…..
Thursday
I woke up really early… like 8am and started going through email. I went back to sleep and slept until about 4pm or so. Tonight was a big night (i didn’t know how big) and I did not want to crap out early.
BOTW had their drawing and gave away their big check (more details coming)

Grabbed some grub with the BOTW dudes then we started playing in the purpose inc poker tournament at the venetian hotel.
So played that until 3AM then went out with the gang (who had been waiting on me) to a local club where we met up with John Reese who was in town for the Hatton/Mayweather fight. We partied until about 9AM then had breakfast then flew home…. I slept in the airport then on the plane home. I forgotten what a all nighter felt like… still sucks =P
GREAT times….
People will probably be surprised to hear this but I think this might be one of my last conferences. I will be doing SXSW. I will not be doing affiliate summit. Its great to see everyone and I will miss that part but we are working on some massive things right now in the mobile sector, nextpimp evolution 3, mma website and elite retreat revamp.
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.

Awesome recap Jeremy. If this IS your last conference for a while, it was great to meet up with you again at BlogWorld!
Looks fun. I love texas holdem!
tell john reese to skip the fight and get income.com moving. he’s about 8 months behind schedule.
good call on the danzig fight by teh way.
wow, you guys look like you party hard!
we try
With all the booze and boobs, are you sure you are at a conference?
Aahahahaha. Booze and boobs. Of course we were at a conference! All good conferences have both.
Good times!
Went and took a look at the photos, poked around a little deeper, and saw the money images. So jeremy, if im seeing the pictures correctly, you made $609k in may from azoogleads and $709k from CJ in march? 1.3 million in those 2 months from just those 2 programs? nice, really f’ing nice man.
Looks like a kick ass time. I had forgot about Rubicon, I made it past beta then they never returned by email with all my stats.
Damn… never made it up to the Rubicon suite, but glad to hear there was another group up until 9a Friday morning! Did you guys do tequila shots at breakfast, though?
lol…looks like a lot of fun…wish I was there.
wow .. santa came early this year
That pic of Andrew dancing and Nicole pointing is the shit! I still cannot believe how much we drank that night…. Rubicon knows how to throw a party.
Woot! Woot! People. I think we’re gearing up for ad:tech SF next. Who’s with me??? I know Laura’s in!
Man. That was an f’ing good time. Thanks to you all.
Blog Contests: Can you email me about your sitch with Rubicon so i can investigate?
nicole [at] rubiconproject [dot] com.
who’s the drunk girl that’s posing with all the guys?
Haha, which one?
Me. And I can do that because we’re all friends.
Damn. It’s a new age. Internet geeks (myself included) can now party like rock stars. What an inspiration!
wow what a crazy re-cap. action packed… good luck with your new ventures. i’m sure you won’t “need” to be at asw but partying won’t be the same without you
Did Laura Martin, the comp winner attend? I don’t see any pics of her. Is she even alive - she hasn’t updated her blog for a month… If she did go, perhaps she may have learnt the value of regularly updating her blog.
I saw her at Pubcon.

Haha. Those sunglasses during the poker game are the shit… good work Shoe.
nice try shoe. just a shame 1/3 doesn’t exist.
hmm 1/3 no limit? you don’t think it exists? =P
I just got back to the office after Pubcon. The thing I realized, it is hard to do both the conference track and the party track. So I was getting back to the hotel at 3:30 am and then trying to make it to the conference center by 9:00. It is pretty hard to do over 4 days.
Anyway it was nice to meet you at the conference.
Your Check is really tantalizing.

Can’t wait till I can start attending these conferences. Being in Australia makes it slightly more difficult.
