EDIT: Poll removed. (I think people thought the poll was the official contest so there was a lot of trying to game it or send whiney emails to me (which isnt going to gain any points)). We more just wanted to hear the opinions of who people wanted to win.

Just out of curiosity were the entrants from the 9th considered?
I had a nice little write up but wouldn’t have been able to make it. Would have been fun though. Off to reading about who should go in my place

I am going to try and get down to one of these conference one of these days. I understand they are priceless. I’d love to meet all of the rockstars they all seem like very fun people.

Congrats to the finalists! I was a buzzer beater (the story of my life), and figured I had probably entered a bit too late – which my analytics confirmed (i.e., 3 total visits since last Friday). Anyway, for the judges who didn’t see my entry…don’t worry, I’ll be removing “your” Facebook Pages shortly;-) Not surprisingly, Neil’s fake profile has already been friended – too funny!

Shoe has defended well against multiple voting attempts from the same IP…but he hasn’t tried/been able to combat votes cast from anonymous proxies. He’s a brilliant man, so I trust he’ll figure it out.
Shoe’s just a LITTLE too smart for this kind of obvious maneuvering.. which I have to say makes me wonder–is this a ‘proxy-spam-bait’ campaign?

I would like to think that most of my votes were legit.
Unlike the other finalists I don’t have a personal blog to appeal to subscribers and daily readers, I tried to leverage other social media ‘friends’ for votes: Myspace, Stumbleupon, Digg etc.
Anyway, good luck Laura and Loser. IF I win you I hope you are still able to make it, you are welcome to crash in my hotel room
