You Click My Ads – FSF

by Jeremy Schoemaker on October 5, 2007 · 75 comments

Lee Dodd from earners forum originally gave me this shirt when we did the elite retreat, San Antionio conference together way back in November of last year. Somehow I lost it and I asked him to send me another one. I really like the shirt and wish I would have thought of it honestly. The whole you click on my ads thing is perfect ;) .

Thanks a lot Lee for the shirt!

Not a bad shirt, but does it have a website or anything on the back, or is it just a statement shirt so people know what to do with the ads?

2 LeGo October 5, 2007 at 12:27 pm

I am pretty sure it does not say adsense on the back… :)

3 ShoeMoney October 5, 2007 at 12:30 pm

it just has a small earnersforum.com

That is a pretty rad shirt – do they sell them anywhere or are they only available as giveaways? I wouldn’t mind picking one up.

I have one just like it! – Click my signature link to see me posing with it in front of diamond head. (I traded Lee a t-shirt for a bunch of gourmet, chocolate covered Macadamia nuts) It was a good trade. I love that shirt.

Im sure this must be against the Adsense TOS

I thought it might say “Click My Ads” like a homonym/pun on..well..you know what…but we can keep it civil I suppose..that would be like having a “kick me” sign.

Hm so I need to get some t-shirts made so I can send you one Shoemoney. :-) You look great…but don’t lose too much weight! ;)

That is an absolutely brilliant design. This t shirt thing you do is a great idea. We only have poloshirts with our logo on at the moment — and the logo is just really small. Would it be better to wait unti we’ve designed a t-shirt before sending it in?

im gonna go against the grain here and say that the shirt sucks and is not that interesting.

It’s purely informational, advising people to click ads on websites :)

Reply

I believe that’s against google’s TOS :)

Would it be against Adsense Tos, if your shirt would read ‘click my adsense ads’?

Reply

44 Harrisburg Web Design October 6, 2007 at 8:24 am

WTH was that? I’ve heard of having bad social skills, but that shows absolutely zero social presence at all. Tell me that post was supposed to come out differently. It had to sound better in your head. Meh.

Reply

Seems against adsense TOS but wearing the shirt is offline so I think it doesn’t matter.

Reply

46 Loredan October 6, 2007 at 10:07 am

Good idea, bad design and if it’s not any website name on the back it’s quite useles

For those that would like to order one, you can get one for free by coming and participating in the Webmaster Inspiration Month contest at EarnersForum.com. Once you post your success story, shoot me a PM (username: Lee) along with your name & mailing address, and I will mail you out a shirt. This is for ShoeMoney readers only!

A brilliant marketing ploy. I love the shit. Its amazing to see how people come up with invovative slogans and phrases for to market their site/products on t-shirts.

Will you mail to Tokyo Lee??

Reply

53 Tracy Robinson October 6, 2007 at 9:21 pm

Thanx, just wondering because you would think people at a conference would already know what the ads are there for, so just hoping to hear that it had some small smidgen of promotion on it via a website.

Google seems to know everything. If I even think about click fraud they send me a letter. I understand the AntiChrist is working with Google. That’s ok though, as long as they don’t close me down.
