So, do we have to dance like Hammer in order to be drawn? What is the best way to increase our chances onsite, without having to spend a mint buying BOTW stuff?

This sucks - US only. Same thing happened when I wanted to enter to win a chance to stay in Cinderella’s Castle at Disney. Looks like I’m going to have to break in and squat instead.

There must be some legal reason I suppose - for not allowing foreign entries.

It was before that … but BOTW is not considered in the same category of directories, the fee you pay them is just for the review of your site and not that any one who pays gets listed, this is the main reason why the others got banned.

Yeah - if there’s ever a situation on the web where people are buying links for PR and SERP manipulation, it’s directories. I mean, really, who uses directories to find anything? Search has evolved to the point that it doesn’t make sense to organize stuff into directory format because it’s cumbersome and inflexible - you can just type your categories into any search engine and find more reliable sites. Why they aren’t discredited completely is a mystery to me.
