Good News And Bad News

by Jeremy Schoemaker on August 20, 2007 · 31 comments

So when I got to the Lincoln airport the flight was delayed like 1 hour…. so we finally took off and I landed in Denver leaving me about 15 mins to make my connection.

Shoemoney A.D.D Side Note – WTF is up with people who have to jump into the aisle even after the stewardess has said that there were 4 people in rows that had a few minutes to catch connections and if they could let them through that would be cool… ya right all these jackasses jumped into the aisle like as soon as the bell went off. I was a total asshole tho and plowed my way forward.

So we came in at gate like 89 and my other flight was at like gate 31 so I ran (omg my sandals are so loud clank clank) and just made it in time. I felt like I was going to die. I need to work more cardio into our weight training i think ;)

O well anyway so when I got on the plane I was surprised to see Chris Sherman in business class (high roller) and my man Loren Baker of Search Engine Journal sitting in one of the first rows.

Unfortunately there was bad weather coming into Colorado and we had to take a major detour in the air north that added about 40 minutes to our flight.

So the good news is we got here in one piece. The bad news is my luggage is …. well its not here.

So my presentation tomorrow might be given with the same thing I wore today ;)

Weather has been terrible everywhere! Get some amenities from your hotel and you should be good to go. They’ll probably call you tomorrow once they find your luggage.

Nothing is worse than losing your luggage. The whole time at your destination most of your plans with money is made and you want get right into what traveled for, but of course comes the waiting for luggage, and not being able to decide whether or not to buy new clothing, personal grooming effects, etc. because you waiting for your luggage, but while you are waiting for your luggage half of your trip just went by without your luggage and you still need your luggage while the other half of your trip is about to get started and while you wait for your luggage to get in, the other half of your trip gets ruined as the the tale of your luggage is revealed, you should have bought new things for your first half of your trip. So you got the last half of your trip left with clothing and grooming effects that you have never dreamed of buying back home but now got to cover your missing luggage which is still on your mind eating away at second half of your trip while in clothing and after shave you never have imagined to wear, then your boarding call comes in to go back and your luggage turns up safe and sound from a trip to Seberia. Or you could have gotten your luggage back a couple of hours later and went about you trip. Either way is a tough grind waiting for your luggage.

All I can say is relax. When I fly I feel like cattle being herded along by the shepherd. Many people seem to jump at the first chance for anything they can. Your Shoemoney. What are you in a hurry for? Your not going to get there quicker than anyone else.

Lost your luggage eh ?.. lemme guess.. the indians next door decided to play a practical joke and you didn’t realize until you saw a sniffer dog riding your luggage on the carousel ? What.. mine ? I never saw it before.. !! :P

Not a good look presenting to tomorrows folk in yesterdays clothes.. but then you could polish your head and stand under a spotlight.. they’ll never know ! hehe !

Hope it goes well ;)

Hate it when my luggage gets lost.. :( especially if there are things in it that don’t have monetary value and cannot be replaced.

Good luck!

Good luck on your presentation. I’m always nervous before something like that, but once I get started I’m fine.

Wow, that seems like a trip from hell to be quite honest. I hate when you get somewhere and the luggage ended up elsewhere.
