With the release yesterday of iLife 08. Apple has added AdSense right into iWeb. You’ll notice that they seem to push the google maps intergration not adsense, so I was watching the demo video for iLife and got some shots of how easy it will be for people to add AdSense to their pages.
This is an interesting addition to the suite and one that will surely interesting to see if/how people use it.

bigdave,
i’ve seen a lot of your post’s about adsense? what is your website?
Apple will quickly pull some major cash as a pseudo-affiliate with this program. Why do you think they introduced Safari for Windows. It’s nice to have a Windows platform html renderer for IPhone, but it’s mainly just another Google driven revenue stream.
i am tired of commenting…oh well!
i use windows only for the software it supports…as for looks, mac wins, and i use emulation packs.
maybe not surprising…
which do you use, shoe?
Apple and whatever….its just marketing buzz
David, dare to publish ur earnings from TechZi alone? i’d like the figures, for all the buzz the blog creates.
Apple+Google= One big mess for ol’ M$
This is interesting…..
So many Mac fans here….seems surprising.
Nice application. Looking forward to use it
Good on em. They deserve to make some cash for the great piece of software they put out
I got a Macbook about two weeks ago and im loving it! But im not loving the fact they have just released the iLife. I might just wait a month or so before buying it
Microsoft better do something soon, because the whole world of technology revolves around Google and Apple right now.
I am wondering how much Apple is getting from even having that option on their blog software. The first timers to the blogs are going to try to generate money for adsense but soon realize that they need 100 dollars in a 100 days from random clicks. Many users will not make this and probably get angry at the iLife 08 for not being able to make enough money.
On the flipside, this will help those who push out open source apps/software/etc to get something back in return. I strongly believe that developers/designers should have the option to make money (directly or less directly) from their toils.
Kind of sucks to see developers pushing advertising like this.
This is very interesting, and a story that I have not seen elsewhere. Once again you break the news for me!
Ive noticed this also….
Har Har :-p I can’t help but feel that they’ll break into t.v. somehow very soon in attempt to revolutionize tele-advertising (something’s prob. already in the works)
As time goes on, Google and Apple are seen more often holding hands while strolling through the Internet. Hmm…
Too bad Goggle is a horrible company and bans people who do nothing wrong.
Sweet, thanks for the info I gotta try this out!
This seems a cool application but I yet have to use iweb. Never saw the thing before.
It’s about time Google figured out a way to make money.
toruble is, publishers are lokoing for ways to make more money, and some are leaving Adsense, replacing adsense with other programs.
Likewise – I’m seriously considering laying my hands on a MacBook Pro sometime pretty soon.
This photo will be very very popular for sure.
How many bloggers have–or can get approved for–an AdSense ID? This is not that significant.
They’ve really cracked down on approving new AdSense publishers, and it’s about time. The content network is so dodgy now that on my AdWords campaigns I either turn it off, or set a maximum of $0.01 for the content network stuff.
I’m getting my copy of iLife ‘08 and iWork ‘08 today
and I’m going to try out the AdSense thing for sure
I already pointed my domain to .Mac for testing.
haha…I’m sure that pic will be more popular than the adsense check one day!
Shoe…Ok..this has nothing to do with the posting but can i just say thank you for having this blog!…i found it at least a over year ago but didnt pay much attention. So i’ve been really trying to save up to buy a place and remebered your adsense check so started to really dig for info…and now im looking at about $450 for this month in adsense at current daily revenue rate and for 2 weeks now..i started trying out adzoogle and i’ve made $110 with a great margin of return.
So full heartly..thank you!
And if you haven’t checked out my site…I’m helping others make money with adsense and telling them what I learn.
looking at your photo album,
are you accepting plus size guys as paid shirt models?
and will eventually open them up to the same antitrust liability in time, IMO.
Hah yea… and supposedly none (non 99% anyways) of the original developers get a cut… it’s incredible really…
I’m thinking of getting a mac so this is interesting – I wonder if this is through the google adsense api and whether or not publishers are getting a full revenue share?? jensense must know!? Ask her for me shoe?! I don’t think a question from myself would warrant a response :p
Google > Microsoft because instead of them shoving themselves down your throat, they get other people to do it for them. Beaaautiful.
I found the answer… It’s a WYSIWYG application but it appears very limited at first glance. I have always wished that someone would develop a WYSIWYG application for developing WordPress themes.
The demo image shows a Travel Blog… What blog platform are they editing with the software or are they creating a blog from scratch with a WYSIWYG application?
iWeb is a cool app and all, but I honestly haven’t seen it used for much. People who take the “free” route tend to go blogger, wordpress, myspace, etc… I don’t see this making much impact.
Yes they do, it adds up to like $50-75 million a year from Google. Of course, I’m assuming Firefox has adeal with Yahoo, eBay, etc… too, but perhaps they don’t.
didnt blogger/blogspot brought easy adsense integration to the masses. they even have/had the ability to sign up for adsense on blogger.
Does firefox get credit for the adsense clicks from search results coming from their browser?
Oh man, they are going to make a fortune with that. Just like the Firefox google search box. Can you tell I am trying to be the top commenter?
Pretty cool application. I am seriously considering a Mac.
no, you use your account or sign up (as shown in the 2nd screen shot)
So Apple have a pub-id…?
