Kongregate Frickin Rocks

By Jeremy Schoemaker 47 comments

So we had a desktop tower defense contest before and I think I will switch all future contests to Kongregate. Get signed up now and reserve your name.

Right now I am developing a addiction to onslaught

http://onslaught.playr.co.uk/about.html has a list of all the cool combos you can make with the towers. Without it you’re pretty much screwed.

    Rocket BFG imo.

I love me some blockhead! They’ve also got a game where you’re a ninja that’s pretty good too. Can’t remember what that one’s called though.

I just did a post recently on how Kongregate deserves to be on the comScore top 10 Worldwide Gaming Properties. If they keep growing like this… they’ll be taking over the top slots in no time! Have you earned many cards for the upcoming CCG yet?

Addiction is relative. Although I think this could just be a tad bit more addictive than DTD.

Shoe, your “contact me” doesn’t work as expected. At least for me.
    Anyway try this game: Flow

It’s difficult to do a contest on it, maybe you could do a beauty contest for this one.

I think it’s waay more addictive than any other flash game I’ve seen.

Has anyone posted games there or knows if their revenue sharing amounts to much for the developer? (I think it’s 25%-50% on ads from your game)

Jim Greer said on July 13th, 2007 at 2:22 pm

Sam - It doesn’t really amount to much yet. Once we’re at 2M-3M monthly uniques, we’ll start to be able to do direct deals with advertisers and it will be much more significant. We’ll also be selling custom sponsorship deals which developers get their cut of as well.

I cant seem to get a good strategy going. For the first 10 mins or so Im great and hitting the “next wave” button constantly but then they get too strong for me and I cant kill them.

  37. FF0000
Jim Greer said on July 13th, 2007 at 3:54 pm

Yeah, this game has a very steep ramp at around wave 100, which is annoying. There’s some strategy discussion in the comments on the Kong game page - I’m no expert myself.
