Affiliate Summit - The Peoples Conference

By Jeremy Schoemaker 24 comments

I dub the Affiliate Summit “The Peoples Conference”. I think anyone attending knows what I mean. I have met a lot of very interesting people.

I uploaded all my photos to the gallery.

I spoke today on a panel with Lee Dodd about making money from community websites. It was a q&a panel and we got some really good questions. There was one guy who asked like 7 times to see more of our sites which to me is always odd…. I wonder sometimes if more audience members want to see more of our sites. I feel its kind of self promotional and I know how much I used to goto sessions and people would give sales pitches. I think me and Lee feel pretty similar on the issue. We showed our sites that were relevant to session. It will be interesting to see how the audience rated the panel and what feedback they had. I know Shawn and Missy take the feedback very seriously.

Here is a video interview I did with web pro news right after the panel.

Web pro news also has a really good in depth 0second writeup from the session

BTW I took a lot of photos with people and if you would like me to post them in my photo gallery from this event just email them to jeremy@ and also a link to your site if you want me to post it.

Shoutouts:

Captcha Killers - You guys rock

Miss Nevada 2007 - Remember what we talked about - keep it real.

Joel Comm - Can this guy get any bigger?
Joel was telling me about some of his stuff upcoming with the Next Internet Millionaire show and it sounds really awesome. I cant wait to see it.

Kevin from income.com - Great to meet you and hang man!

Andrew from web publishing blog

Jon, cock, and others from wickedfire forums

Zac Johnson - Nice to meet you

Lisa Picarelle from Revenue Magainze : It was nice to finally meet you. I really enjoyed our talk.

Alex from Xanox - Fun hanging out with you guys.

I know I missed so many people I met. Its hard for me to remember a lot unless you lick my head or something (yes i wouldn’t forget you joeZ)

I agree… “The People’s Conference” is a great way to describe Affiliate Summit. I was at Orlando last year but missed this one. I’ve been to a half dozen shows and seminars in the past year and AS has people from such a wide variety of backgrounds, industries… plus it is the most fun! Will plan on going next time. ;)
