Where To Watch The UFC Tomorrow Night In Miami

by Jeremy Schoemaker on July 7, 2007 · 20 comments

Ok for those going to the Affiliate Summit I have been on the hunt all day for a place to watch the fights tomorrow night. There is a Hooters about 5 blocks from the host hotel but unfortunately they are not going to be having the fight =(

So I was told that the place to go is Freestyle Fighting Academy that they will have food and beer.

Here is there address:

Freestyle Fighting Academy
1423 SW 107 Ave, Miami, FL 33174

There Phone number is 305-225-4610

I will be there for sure but not until around 11PM. I have been told they have a 100″ screen and plasma’s setup. Should be cool See you guys & gals there!

I had the same problem for a boxing match when I was in Indiana. Not a single bar carried the Mayweather fight.

I may swing down there. It’s a bit of a hike from here, but it’d be cool to meet a bunch of people for the Affiliate Summit.

Jeremy,

You can try this cruise from 6:30 to 12:15 – they’re showing the match.

There’s a Hooters in the Bayside market, within walking distance of the hotel. Not sure if they’ll have the match on, though.

Shoe, where in miami is the summit? I can recommend a ton of places that are likely to have it. that place you mentioned is WAAAAAY FAR from your hotel. shoot me an email and i can give you directions. places much closer likely to have it: sandbar grill in coconut grove, flannigans coconut grove, finnegans on the river (3 blocks from your hotel), or on south beach somewhere (playwrights might have it, or any of several sports bars down there). felt (pool hall/sports bar) will have it i think.

I just called over to “Freestyle Fighting Academy”. Its $10 cover, and they have food — but its BYOB — so make sure you stop and grab a case!

If by way far you mean 15 mins or less on the dolphin expressway.. Then, yes.. It’s way far.

Also, I would ALWAYS prefer to watch the fights in an atmosphere where people actually know MMA and aren’t going to be yelling retarded things during every fight.

Shoe,

You may get to meet the infamous Kimbo if he’s down there. He started training out of FFA a while back. Be sure to get an interview or something haha.

My bad… I saw the cruise info this AM and thought I’d try to get it quickly to you – I’ll be more careful next time!

IFC rocks! I wish my wife liked it. I’m so tired of Friends reruns.
