Where Do I Get My T-Shirts Made - Adamstshirts
In the last 4 years I have gone through at least 10 companies getting t-shirts made. Generally I just want simple shirts… couple colors front and back … high quality shirts. We thought we had found the place with 2.95 guys and the whole compressed shirt thing but the problem with compression is that they look like shit until someone can actually wash them.
I give out shoemoney shirts at conferences and I’ve had people actually screw them up trying to iron them cause they are impossibly wrinkled from the compression. (sorry if you’re reading lol).
Anyway last summer Dave said his friend did shirts but he did not have a website or a store or anything he just printed them. He does high volumes for other local places so the costs are good. Also he does everything himself (for now) so he has no overhead.
Anyway if you need shirts made I highly recommend you contact him adamstshirts AT gmail DOT com and see what his prices are compared to what you’re paying now. I think you will find he is the win.
Speaking of shirts you will notice there are a bunch of sizes missing from shoemoney mens and womens and auctionads shirts from the shoemoney shirt store. More are on the way… we just sold out in the last couple days of certain sizes.

You have to admit, though, that those compressed tshirts are very very cool…and great at conferences because tshirts that are full-size are a pain the a$$ to have to lug home, especially if you’re bringing home a few of them from different companies.
I cannot believe no one has come up with some way to make those shirts “compressed” without the wrinkles. Perhaps they should roll them up or something…that’s right, roll them up really tight like a Cuban cigar. Fold ‘em once or twice and them roll them = no or less wrinkles.
Hey Jeremy, you might consider adding 2x shirt sizes…some tend to shirnk up when washed. Does Adamstshirts charge more for anything larger than XL?

Cool, I just got my wrinkled shirts in the mail like 3 minutes ago.
Wonder if I am the first since I am only 90 miles down the road. I didn’t know there was also a logo on the back. I’ll hafta wear one to work tomorrow. Washing now…

I think what he means by too wrinkled is that people cant wear them around the conference. They have to wash them first. But yeah, they are very cool.

Those vacuum packed shirts look cool when they’re in the package, but you definitely have to wash them first..

I’ve always wanted to make some t-shirts hehe..

way to give props to your Tshirt guy. Hopefully he can handle the flood of orders that come in

I posted a little Shoemoney shirt review on my blog, along with a little love for John Reese’s great tips.
Are ya still gonna have a friend’s of Shoe gallery? Just mail the pic or what?

It’s pretty amazing when someone has the magic touch to create floods of web traffic just by sending out some props. It never ceases to amaze me. I can’t wait for my ShirtMoney to arrive soon.

Do you have any sources? What would “much” cheaper be? I think he’s paying around $4 - $5 a shirt - how much cheaper could it be?
[Reply]
I liked them too… but the lack of “instant pleasure” is evident here.
[Reply]
It doesn’t get any cheaper than that, heck, some places would have you paying double.
I am going to save Adam’s email address for when our new projects hit the marketing level. Thanks for sharing!

Or you could jam out in a wrinkled shoemoney shirt… you’d stand out

He can always turn down or postpone business… wonder what the margins are.

Those compressed shirts were awesome. I never actually saw one up close but from the pictures I saw I was pretty impressed. Its a good marketing gimic anyways as it is pretty unusual. They would be good for shows but not for selling online.

Who is the female model in the t-shirt store?
[Reply]
I bet he’s going to hear from a lot of prospective clients now that he’s had some special mention.

I am sure Adam’s e-mail will get filled up pretty fast. I might just have to send him an e-mail.
btw: I got my shirts yesterday! Too bad I didn’t have them for SMX Seattle. They look good!

Yes it’s very cool to see good business get extra attention from people like Shoemoney.

Wow at least 10 companies? I’ve always wondered how you manage to find such good resources…I guess you just try them all!

I just talked with adam , he seems like a great guy !
Thanks for the rec!

Well, promotion with T Shirts should wait for sometime atleast for me.. I am currently considering pens as they are more suited toward my budget
[Reply]
Not sure if it is the flood of orders or what, but I’ve made a couple of attempts to reach this guy by email, one of which was for a significant amount of shirts and he never even acknowledged the inquirys.
Disappointing…

I want to find a good shirt making source. It’s hard to find one which you can have shirts made and sell and make a profit. Most companies charge more than you can charge for your shirts.
