For the people who don’t get the angle on this. Its about not only branding but link building for the store. BY offering t’s at that price he just got links for almost every freebie type site on the net+ every bloger that will write a post on how they got a cheap shirt from shoemoney. + All the soon to come shoemoney Ebay sales soon to come which will include page links to shoemoney which will increase his pr on this page during the next Google update which is in 2 to 3 weeks according to my figuring that will in turn increase his page rank from a pr6 to maybe a pr7 maybe a pr8. Pretty unique timing if you ask me. This guy is good at marketing follow his lead if you can’t figure it out for yourself.

Ya I think the key is quantity, the shipping price doesn’t go up much from 1 shirt to 2 shirts so if you divide the cost over 5-10 shirts then it’s easier to swallow then the cost for 1 shirt.

True I hadn’t really thought about it that way, the $5 likely covers the cost of the t-shirt with maybe a $1 or less for profit..
It’s quite ingenius for branding purposes really, though people have been begging for t-shirts for as long as I’ve been visiting this blog so I guess Shoe is killing 2 birds with 1 stone, added exposure and giving us readers what we’ve been asking for..

still working on international shipping. It interfaces directly with USPS API to pull live rates although I think we will offer there 18$ anywhere in the world rate

hehe keep in mind your paying 5$ and your advertising (usually you get paid to advertise), so for him its not really the profit (i doubt u can make profit from 5$/tshirt) but the advertisement… At least 10 people will ask you what the t-shirt means. Free advertisement for shoemoney

Two “problems”:
1. There’s something bugged up with the oscommerce install…I can’t select the proper state, probably because it contains special characters (namely “ü”), so I had to select another state that doesn’t contain special characters just to get an account…
2. 30$ shipping per Item? Is that the final price or will it change once you get your USPS account and all?!
