The forum for UFC talk – discussufc.com sent me this black shirt.
On the front it say “Lets discuss this like gentlemen” and shows 2 rocked up MMA dudes smakcing eachother around. Pretty rad! So I was checking out the Ufc Forum website and they have quite a loyal membership. With only 500 users they have manage to have almost 20 thousand posts of high quality MMA content. I particularly liked the UFC News section of the forum site.
One thing I was not big on was to see the big fat adsense square that takes up half the page. I have a feeling one of the reasons there membership is so low is that people find the site and click on adsense and are gone forever. I would recommend this site go after direct advertisers (have your people call my people) as I know a few that are dying to get market penetration in the UFC arena and would probably jump on sponsoring your website.
About Free shirt friday: companies or site owners send me shirts for free and I take a pic in them and write about them. If you would like to send me a free shirt contact susan at shoemoney.com and she can give you the address. BTW I wear a XL t-shirt (cause they shrink) or normally a large dress shirt.

I used to own a mixed martial arts business. Nice looking forum no doubt, but I never understood why these sites and forums would limit their marketability by having the first three words of their site “UFC” when there is a whole wide world of Mixed Martial Arts beyond the UFC, all around the world.

Ha, I’m reading this after seeing your store launch. That didn’t take long.
June 4, 2007 at 8:17 pm
You must have a heck of a t-shirt collection.
June 3, 2007 at 10:06 pm
Whoa, I see you just launched your shop… super cool super shoe. I wish my intuition for pulling in pay per leads is as dialed in as I was on this one. Let me know if you need some help with the shirt store. I think I have an hour a day b/t 3AM and 4AM that is unspoken for… Seriously, let me know if you need a hand, my dad’s a printer.
June 3, 2007 at 8:46 pm
Wow!! UFC t-shirts is very cool for you.
June 3, 2007 at 1:05 pm
I started on the store… like last year.. I just have not had time to work on it much =(
June 3, 2007 at 12:26 pm
Eventually, I think he will. I’d imagine there could be a long que though. Show, how many shirts do you actually get in, let’s say, a month?
June 3, 2007 at 12:35 am

Future Shoemoney post: “How I made a fortune selling worn-only-once T-shirts on eBay.”
Screw traditional fighting styles… do you think there is currently anyone in the UFC that could take you in thumb-wrestling?
June 2, 2007 at 10:14 am

In the last month, sec.un.dum paied 2.4 dollars for each post in the 100 more visited list. This month it will pay 5 dollars. The site is a blog community for portuguese content.
June 2, 2007 at 6:40 am

June 2, 2007 at 4:37 am

It looks like that forum was hacked from my end.
June 2, 2007 at 4:23 am

June 2, 2007 at 2:31 am
Wow, that is an awesome shirt! I love it! XD
June 2, 2007 at 1:47 am
Alright, I think I am going to have to have a WebPublishingBlog t-shirt made just for you! And if get a 1 year backlog from other web sites before then I’ll just have to go the leather jacket/mink fur coat route (or would that make me look too desperate for links?)
June 1, 2007 at 11:16 pm
I’m sure you have already considered it, but why haven’t you put a catalog together on this blog to sell your shirts? I know I would be interested in buying one.
June 1, 2007 at 11:14 pm
Send me a T-Shirt! LOL
June 1, 2007 at 8:44 pm
Wow…nice to see people like the t-shirt. Took a bit to make it just right
Rex and the guys have done a good job with the community.
June 1, 2007 at 5:12 pm
I will be sending you an email about the shirt soon. I got ours in the process of being printed. I’ll send a couple.
June 1, 2007 at 4:55 pm
That’s a bad ass design on the front. Certainly an attention getter!

Jeremy-
When Kris sends you a shirt and you do a little write up on his blog, be sure to keep in mind that he is a convicted plagiarizer … caught red handed more than once.
His site is a bad knockoff of some of the best UFC blogs on the net. He doesn’t have an original fiber in his being.
Just thought you might want a little forewarning before you go ahead and talk about a site that is a fraud and possibly hurt the credibilty of your own site.
Here’s just ONE link to consider:
http://ufcjunkie.com/2007/01/03/am-i-getting-plagiarized-by-b5mediacom-and-kris-karkoski/
Thanks.
June 1, 2007 at 12:31 pm
Looks like Rex beat me to getting you a shirt. I knew you were a big UFC fan but we haven’t had our shirts printed yet.
Also, I contacted Susan about the UFC advertisers. I was not sure if she was the person to contact but seemed like as good of a guess as any.
Have a good one…
June 1, 2007 at 12:06 pm
I love the quote, “lets discuss this like gentleman”… that’s the way I feel like talking to my contractors.
June 1, 2007 at 11:54 am
so, if i send you a shirt, you’ll take a pic and advertise my site for me?
June 1, 2007 at 11:45 am
Hey Jeremy glad you liked the shirt my good man. Ole Lee Dodd said I should send one to yah. And thanks for the remarks about the adsense I may change that!
BTW I’ve tried contacting you about UFC stuff but never a reply. Hit me up sometime
June 1, 2007 at 11:42 am
I have wrestling background and I actually was going to goto the BJJ local school here but my training partner “the rooster” owned the main guy there so I think I have more to learn from him (he defeated Frank Trigg in college wrestling and his twin brother defeated Matt Hughes).
Other then a few boxing lessons and like 4 street fights as a youth I dont have much of a standup… Also keep in mind I was always a HUGE GUY and most fights were either 1 punch knockouts by me or I got my ass kicked.
June 1, 2007 at 10:57 am
Rumor has it that your going to take a stab at the UFC, if you were going to give it a go who do you think you could take on? Would make a great promo!
June 1, 2007 at 10:56 am
I give out free shirts at every conference I have ever gone to
June 1, 2007 at 10:46 am
hehehehe sooo when are you going to start giving out free t-shirts? Nice t-shirt btw
