Hey, I know that this is a little dated addition however no matter. A couple search services are better for specific file extensions than others. A very good one that I found for ebooks and pdfs is http://www.pdfpick.com/ It works perfectly because it has no ads, loads very speedily, and is cleanly designed. Thanks for the post!

Good article you've posted here, thanks, just to make a quick note to anyone interested in self SEO, that once you're done submiting your website to the important search engines, you could do a quick check for your website in http://ministatus.com and see the exact number of indexed pages or the number of backlinks (according to most important engines) ... more you could do a daily check and see the changes or just download your seo score in PDF file and hand it to someone who knows what to make of it ;-)

You can also try www.estimix.com – a free tool that provides a nice summary of the website performance. The estimation provided by estimix is the result of a complex analysis based on factors like: the age of the website, the demographic structure of the traffic, the countries where the website is popular and sources of the traffic.
