I am a new subscriber to shoemoney so I don’t know anything about this t-shirt thing; however, with the current proceeds of my blog I’ll send you what I can. So far I can afford to send you a used miniature cracked ceramic cowboy boot with a lucky penny inside (the closest thing to “shoemoney” I have). I may need you to pay for shipping though.

So dust off a spot on your mantel and ready a gold-plated display case. You are about to be bribed beyond belief.

I installed my dishwasher myself and it doesn’t leak like the old one. I ran the old one straight to the drain
when the kitchen was torn up and I needed to wash dishes.

However being as you make so much money they probably think you need to support your local plumber and pay.

I remember installing a dishwasher back in the day (about 1985). They told us we could do it ourself. We should have hired a plumber ;-)

All the more reason to send over a shirt to Shoemoney. Great promotion Shoemoney. Maybe we should all pick up on this promotion? When did you start doing this as a regular part of your blog?

Well, over here in the UK, we don’t need licenced plumbers to install dishwashers. They seem pretty easy to install, but I’ve never done it personally, but, I suppose it depends on whether you’re a DIY type of person or not.

It sounds like maybe the store was trying to make extra money out of you?

    Groovin’ T Shoe.

BTW, I’ve never heard of needing a licensed Plumber needed to install a dishwasher or any other appliance. (i’m in real estate/construction and work with a lot of trades)

I’d also check that T for fingerprints, never know where a Plumbers hands have been…=)

Your blog gets enough readership for something a little better than a shirt. Why not target for a car :)

Thats one of the better shirts I’ve seen.

Ditto what PK said about installing a dishwasher is actually pretty easy. However, be careful pushing it in that you don’t put a crease in the door … I speak from personal experience that your wife will NOT be happy about what you just did to her “brand new dishwasher”

    The answer to your question,

Usually things like dishwashers, use hard plumbing or fittings that have to be sweated , or compression fittings

These appliances are not considered “do-it-yourself” installs

Like a refrig just has an icemaker, usually its a simple saddle valve and they actually sell icemaker kits as a “do-it-yourself” item.

Going back to the dishwasher , you have the waste line, and the domestic water line, and the fact that you need “real” tools….makes it a job for the licensed plumber,

Or at least they tell you that,

A simple dishwasher replacement is kinda easy for anyone with a cresent wrench and a screwdriver :)

Thanks for posting the shirt dude!!

    Enjoy it :)
