that’s awesome, i still don’t get it, do I get a t-shirt now? I’m not a fan of theirs in general because my blog’s ranking there sucks while i’ve been linked by the LA Times and NY Times and have a page rank 5 yet am in the bowels of hell in Technorati land. Bitter? a little bit ;) I also know none of my posts will make the WTF area :(

Im going to look into the WTF area on Tech, I never heard of it

Nice t-shirt. It would be better if it said “where’s the fire” on the front though.

I visited Technorati and did a search for Shoemoney and noticed no WTF!…so I added one :-) . I didn’t want you to have WTF shirt but not WTF listing.

Glad you got sent a shirt, looks cool. Technoratis marketing still sucked though since most people watching TV during the times their ads were on probably have no idea what Technorati is anyway.

I have a totally unrelated question about the $500,000 Azoogle check. It says that it was photographed but it doesnt look like it — in the car reflection you can not see the check, only the blue shirt with the empty hands. Some Photoshop work?

I reckon he should get a Tee & Hat, sign them with a scrawl, (in fact, get a few big names to sig them), then put them to auction on ebay.

He could donate the proceeds to charity, and someone would wind up with a couple of groovy keepsakes..

What do you think Shoe ?

  41. Good Comment?
    fivecentnickel.com

Yeah, that acronym sure it catchy. Makes people think.

    wildbluff_matt

Excellent idea. You could one up it again by having the affiliates link to that auction specifically w/ their auctionads and have some incentive for the one that generates the lead to the winning bid! Muuahahahah!

i throw all logo and other goofy design printed tee’s in the trash where they belong.

  53. Good Comment?
    Maki

Yup.. its a good tactic but I think this time Technorati just meant it as a nice gesture.. Technorati hardly needs a link back or more exposure lol

  54. Good Comment?
    Daniel

actually that tshirt marketing deal is not a bad one. Considering that people usually post on their blogs when they get those tshirts (with a backlink) and considering that you can probably outsource the tshirts for a couple of dollars each, its better than Text Link Ads :)

  55. Good Comment?
    Ryan

It is pretty dumb, but sometimes that’s what it takes to get a cool acronym like WTF.

  56. Good Comment?

    Ughh..

I’m sure the WTF thing is wonderful, but all I get right now is:

‘Where’s the fire? Somewhere in our service, evidently. Watch for smoke and try back again later.’

WTF ??.. (Shoe your blog is too popular) ;)

  62. Good Comment?
    John Loch

    Weeeee !

I been trying to get a SHOEMONEY HAT AND TEE from you for AGES !!

Here in oz we miss out on most conferences etc, so I never get a chance to ask in person.. and I’m a T whore too !!!

  66. Good Comment?
    Maki

Yup.. “Where’s the Fire” is a REALLY dumb name though.

  67. Good Comment?
    wildbluff_matt

I got the same impression. I just don’t get a lot out of it.

  68. Good Comment?
    wildbluff_matt

  84. Good Comment?

I prefer the Wicked Fire logo. The Technorati one reminds me of late 90s skateboard designs.. ala Black Label skates.

  85. Good Comment?
