And on the back it says:

Now I railed Technorati a bit a few months back when I did not get there whole WTF thing but I get it now… its hot… thanks for the shirt!

The fact of the matter is I really do love Technorati and no I am not just saying that cause they sent me a t-shirt.

Looks a bit like an early draft of the WickedFire logo.

WTF, nice shirt Shoe! It’s always cool to score a new shirt and one day I will hit the jackpot and score myself a ShoeMoney shirt. :)

Nice shirt. Looking cool as well. *grins. Wish I had one of those too!

Reply

6 Maki March 16, 2007 at 11:32 pm

It reminds me of the AudioSlave logo .. Chris Cornell = Awesome.

Reply

7 Maki March 16, 2007 at 11:36 pm

I prefer the Wicked Fire logo. The Technorati one reminds me of late 90s skateboard designs.. ala Black Label skates.

8 SELaplana March 17, 2007 at 1:37 am

I wish technorati will send me a shirt like that too even just for remembrance. I love it.

BTW, anyone actually using that WTF stuff? I used it like in the first day to test it out, and seemed a waste of time

Reply

12 mao March 17, 2007 at 8:05 am

To me it sounds that WTF is hot because of the Tshirt :D
Who use it anyway?

Reply

13 jim March 17, 2007 at 8:33 am

Nope :) A t-shirt might change my mind though…

Some people hate the WTF thing and want them to change the name, but WTF is perfect! Oh, nice t-shirt, BTW. :p

The only time I have clicked on WTF and actually seen something was on Shoemoney’s technorati page. Nice shirt.

Reply

20 Ryan March 17, 2007 at 11:03 am

It’s Technorati’s Digg-like service for blogs called “Where’s the Fire?”

Reply

21 State Of Brain March 17, 2007 at 11:43 am

I’m going to make some t-shirts and send you one shoe!

Reply

22 Stuart Hannig March 17, 2007 at 12:09 pm

Good job man, wish I had that shirt :)

Reply

23 wildbluff_matt March 17, 2007 at 1:57 pm

The shirt is awesome. Now you should ask for a second and auction it off for a good cause.

Reply

24 wildbluff_matt March 17, 2007 at 1:57 pm

I got the same impression. I just don’t get a lot out of it.

Reply

25 Maki March 17, 2007 at 2:03 pm

Yup.. “Where’s the Fire” is a REALLY dumb name though.

Reply

26 Maki March 17, 2007 at 2:05 pm

Yeah.. if I had to choose between WTF, Wicked Fire and Black Label.. I’ll definitely pick Black Label.. they have some wicked hot shirts.

Reply

27 ShoeMoney March 17, 2007 at 2:09 pm

hey! not a bad idea plus it will give me another chance to plug auctionads!

Reply

28 Jonathan March 17, 2007 at 3:21 pm

Dude, I want a shirt!!

Reply

29 John Loch March 17, 2007 at 6:05 pm

Weeeee !

I been trying to get a SHOEMONEY HAT AND TEE from you for AGES !!

Here in oz we miss out on most conferences etc, so I never get a chance to ask in person.. and I’m a T whore too !!!

You’re just teasing me arent you !??

Damn, Damn, Damn !!! :)

Reply

30 John Loch March 17, 2007 at 6:11 pm

I’m sure the WTF thing is wonderful, but all I get right now is:

‘Where’s the fire? Somewhere in our service, evidently. Watch for smoke and try back again later.’

WTF ??.. (Shoe your blog is too popular) ;)

Reply

31 Bulbboy March 17, 2007 at 6:51 pm

In agreement here.
It just sounds so ‘politically correct.’

Ughh..

Reply

Well, they are getting better all the time. Nobody does it perfect in the first shot.

Reply

36 Ryan March 18, 2007 at 8:15 am

It is pretty dumb, but sometimes that’s what it takes to get a cool acronym like WTF.

Reply

37 Daniel March 18, 2007 at 8:40 am

actually that tshirt marketing deal is not a bad one. Considering that people usually post on their blogs when they get those tshirts (with a backlink) and considering that you can probably outsource the tshirts for a couple of dollars each, its better than Text Link Ads :)

Reply

38 Maki March 18, 2007 at 9:42 am

Yup.. its a good tactic but I think this time Technorati just meant it as a nice gesture.. Technorati hardly needs a link back or more exposure lol

Reply

39 suttree March 18, 2007 at 9:50 am

i throw all logo and other goofy design printed tee’s in the trash where they belong.

Reply

40 Route March 18, 2007 at 10:31 am

Haha you should hook me up for one of those t-shirts! Anyways congratulations!

Reply

41 ToddW March 18, 2007 at 11:04 am

Huh?

Reply

42 ToddW March 18, 2007 at 11:05 am

Nope, it just seemed “BLAH”.

Reply

43 ToddW March 18, 2007 at 11:06 am

It’s flopping… or flopped?

Reply

44 wildbluff_matt March 18, 2007 at 11:41 am

Excellent idea. You could one up it again by having the affiliates link to that auction specifically w/ their auctionads and have some incentive for the one that generates the lead to the winning bid! Muuahahahah!

Reply

Reply

Yeah, that acronym sure it catchy. Makes people think.

Reply

51 John Loch March 18, 2007 at 9:42 pm

I reckon he should get a Tee & Hat, sign them with a scrawl, (in fact, get a few big names to sig them), then put them to auction on ebay.

He could donate the proceeds to charity, and someone would wind up with a couple of groovy keepsakes..

What do you think Shoe ?

Reply

52 geegel March 19, 2007 at 1:03 am

The design mate, the design.

Reply

53 geegel March 19, 2007 at 1:14 am

I have a totally unrelated question about the $500,000 Azoogle check. It says that it was photographed but it doesnt look like it — in the car reflection you can not see the check, only the blue shirt with the empty hands. Some Photoshop work?

Glad you got sent a shirt, looks cool. Technoratis marketing still sucked though since most people watching TV during the times their ads were on probably have no idea what Technorati is anyway.

81 Zaib Kaleem March 22, 2007 at 9:23 pm

I visited Technorati and did a search for Shoemoney and noticed no WTF!…so I added one :-) . I didn’t want you to have WTF shirt but not WTF listing.

I’m not a fan of theirs in general because my blog’s ranking there sucks while i’ve been linked by the LA Times and NY Times and have a page rank 5 yet am in the bowels of hell in Technorati land. Bitter? a little bit ;) I also know none of my posts will make the WTF area :(
