BumpZee, SEO Conferences, Affilate Trends, Affiliate Distrust and more on the SMS

Season 2 of Net Income AKA the Shoemoney show happened today. If you missed it live you can listen here:

http://media.webmasterradio.fm/episodes/audio/2007/NI031307.mp3

Special thanks to my co-host kris jones!

Items discussed:

  • BumpZeeJangro‘s new social dealio for affiliate and search engine marketers.
  • Googles new policy about not having search results in there search results (and how this will effect comparison shopping engines).
  • How affiliates need to keep track of memes and holidays and how to make money off them
  • Recent Ringtone events and Affiliate distrust.
  • Current state of the affiliate industry.

Its cool to be doing the show again! Thanks to Eddie for producing and our great sponsors as always!

ADDED:

In the podcast I made mention that I thought it was weird some of Shawn Collin’s posts and podcasts maybe showing favoritism between affiliate networks. I also had heard rumors that there was many ties between Shawn and CPA Empire. During the podcast I said that I thought it would be good if Shawn would dislcose those relationships.

Shawn has commented here, on the bumpzee thread, and also contacted me personally telling me he has no financial or personal ties at all to CPA Empire.

Hey Jeremy -

Just listened to your show: “Shawn is heavily vested with CPA Empire”?!

You are 100% off on me having any relationship with CPA Empire.

Anybody that claims I have an connection with them – please have them detail it here, because it’s a load of BS.

They’ve exhibited at Affiliate Summit, and that’s it.

Missy was formerly an employee with CPA Empire – she has no ties to them now.

As far as ringtones, I don’t pretend to be an authority of any kind. I just became curious about it after speaking with the investigators.

In addition to my recent post about the Azoogle affiliate, I also had a post a couple weeks ago where I linked to your news on CPA Empire.

> Ya you guys are not in tight at all

Missy was an employee there at that time. That’s no secret. She is no longer there.

I was never on their payroll and I’m the one blogging about the ringtone stuff.

Just listened to the show…man that Azoogle API sounds leet…if it isn’t the white label solution I brought up on DP a few weeks ago, which you have to do massive volume to be able to use.

Bumpzee is pretty awesome. I signed up a month ago and I really like the fact that so many good affiliate marketing blogs are sharing knowledge in one place.

I’m kinda glad Google is getting rid of search results in the SERPs… I hate clicking through only to see a list of more crap that doesn’t help me find what I’m looking for. ;)

Yee haw – shoemoney show sounds cool too – i’d rather have that because like you said you can expand and talk about more issues.

I like showmoney show better – it keeps your topics open – giving you leeway to talk about other things besides what people want to hear. ;)

I always pick up a little bit more on each show. ;)

I just listenend to your radio show..And wanted to correct that guy from Pepper Shaker or Whatever..You are not an authority on the ringtone space. We who represent the content sellers DIRECT and bring them to the affiliate networks you grab a link from Just wanted to clairify you are a big producer but not an expert in the Mobile Space..
and Shawn Collins Is full of shit and Ricter funding…

I have a question? Why would a ringtone advertiser put a drop down box on the PIN CODE page asking the user to Select There Device?
