April 12, 2007 at 12:52 pm
i wish there was some video of what went on
March 24, 2007 at 11:36 pm
So who went? What was their answer to the question? If it was good enough to get and invite to Elite Retreat, I would love to read it.
March 20, 2007 at 12:48 pm
I wish I could afford the flight and board, its a great chance for a lucky person though
March 15, 2007 at 11:04 am
Not sure if the contest is still open, but I just emailed my
entry:-)
March 15, 2007 at 7:41 am
I don’t think you won;t save much money by driving..gas price is going up daily. Congrat on contest.
March 15, 2007 at 3:39 am
Are you going to publish the winner’s answer?
March 14, 2007 at 7:35 pm
What an idiot. Wonder what kind of tips this guy can really share if he can’t even organize an email.
March 14, 2007 at 7:31 pm
I did.
March 14, 2007 at 6:15 pm
Or the fact that Lee used the SAME email from last years event. Go back and read it, it says San Antonio and 2006!
How about a little personal message to us losers next time.
March 14, 2007 at 3:23 pm
Congrats to Wendy. Didn’t like the upsell email though announcing who won follow by you can still come for $2.5k isn’t as appealing as free.
And why didn’t you include the text that won it ?
March 14, 2007 at 3:19 pm
Congrats Wendy!
I’ll probably register for either the May or July conference, as this is too good to pass up.
March 14, 2007 at 1:34 pm
LOL, MM. You are right! And thanks! I’m totally shaking I’m so excited!
March 14, 2007 at 1:27 pm
P.S. Congratulations!
March 14, 2007 at 1:26 pm
If you can afford gas to drive across the country and back, you can afford anything.
March 14, 2007 at 9:22 am
just sent email my submission..hope I can go next week.
March 14, 2007 at 4:58 am
Stoke it baby.. MooooOOOOOoooo !
March 14, 2007 at 3:40 am
Depends whrere in the world you are Tyler.
Maybe next time the ShoeJet will pick up the contest winner.
March 13, 2007 at 6:50 pm
I dropped everything to send in my submission yesterday. I totally can’t afford hotel and airfare at the moment, but I would drive cross-country and sleep on rocks if that’s what it took in order to participate in this event.
March 13, 2007 at 2:37 pm
I agree. You should enter at whatever level you are. Cause if you are some what a newb just imagine how much info you will GET and of course the CONTACTS!
March 13, 2007 at 2:34 pm
i hope my english will be good enough
March 13, 2007 at 12:31 pm
I think as long as you can fly in and make the conference, you’re fine. Geography is not important?
March 13, 2007 at 12:30 pm
Yeah..Matt, you shoulda totally go for it! Little guy or not you’ll learn lots and that’s what is really important when it comes to pricey conferences.
March 13, 2007 at 11:43 am
Why should a legitimate business need to worry about branding?
Because without it you would never know who’s cows are who’s!
March 13, 2007 at 10:54 am
Speaking of the Elite Retreat…plan on sending any further information (like when and where to show up) to us paid attendees? Can’t wait for next week!
March 13, 2007 at 7:41 am
I’m in. I’d fly in from NYC tomorrow for this.
March 13, 2007 at 3:20 am
CRAP ! BOLLOX !
You’re never too little to give it a go. Thats the point ! You want to grow, grab some nourishment – it doesnt matter who, or how old, or how much.
Just how to.
Good luck
March 13, 2007 at 3:08 am
Is this offer is for someone outside US?
March 13, 2007 at 12:32 am
BTW, I am available to go, and I can afford the flight.
March 12, 2007 at 10:26 pm
I hope you get some good entries Shoe.
March 12, 2007 at 10:23 pm
Very cool, Jeremy. I’d love to go to one of these, but time is the issue. SES seems to take all the time I spend away from work.
March 12, 2007 at 10:18 pm
The price of an airline ticket is minimal compared to the price of the retreat.
March 12, 2007 at 10:04 pm
I couldn’t afford the $5000 in for the retreat, how am I supposed to pull together another couple thousand for last minute flight and hotel? I guess beggars can’t be choosers, it’s still a great opportunity.
March 12, 2007 at 9:43 pm
This is really cool for you guys to offer… I hope someone wins that really needs it!
March 12, 2007 at 8:37 pm
I sent my answer in. Crossing my fingers
March 12, 2007 at 8:29 pm
Matt,
There will be all different levels of people there, I really encourage you to enter!
March 12, 2007 at 8:28 pm
Good show! E-mail sent.
March 12, 2007 at 8:18 pm
I would love to go and I only live 1 hour outside of the city but I feel like I am to much of a little guy. Who knows maybe ill drop Shoemoney an email and cross my fingers
what do you think?
March 12, 2007 at 6:51 pm
…or you aren’t sure what sarcasm is. All in good fun.
March 12, 2007 at 6:05 pm
I paid to go to first elite retreat and it was well worth it. not just to meat the speakers but the attendees give great feedback also! So if you want to go for only the cost of airfare then enter now. You won’t regret it!
March 12, 2007 at 6:05 pm
I don’t have the money for a flight to make myself eligible, but I would like to comment on the question here.
I think the most important reason to have branding is because it is your identification to the public. I’m going to use youtube as an example.
You can be “Youtuber XYZ” who makes funny videos, or you can be “Ask A Ninja” who does great videos and has a reputable branding. “Ask A Ninja” works on their brand. They have intros to their videos, a website, fans, icons you can use, and tshirts you can buy. “Youtuber XYZ” who might be just as funny will never be as popular if he/she doesn’t work on a brand that people can identify and relate with.
I would of used “bloggers” and “shoemoney” as an example, but that would of been too much brown nosing.
Anyways, I’m not even sure if that is close to what you mean by branding, but it’s my take on it. Writing about this makes me realize I probably could use a little work on my branding.
Good luck to the contestants!
March 12, 2007 at 5:45 pm
Generous offer Shoe, but a little short on notice. I’d have loved to participate, and I’m sure I could come up with a few new perspectives on branding.. unfortunately, just too little advance notice.
PS: Worry is not a good thing (pay someone to worry for you)
March 12, 2007 at 5:13 pm
evidently you fail at reading
“If you choose to participate and send in your email, you MUST be ready and willing to book your airfare and hotel reservations right away as the conference is less than 1 week away!”
March 12, 2007 at 5:10 pm
Does this include airfare?
