No, because you can actually get around the site without being swamped by popups

Looks very similiar in design… I really like the “Soft Layout”.

I wasn’t crazy about the old design, but it was original and functional whereas (I feel) this new design plays too much off of sitepoint and detracts from the overall usability.

I’m a big fan of “if you’re not going to do something better or do something different, don’t do it at all”. I realize this goes against the general consensus in an industry of MFA sites and services, but it’s just my opinion.

It is nice to see that they are enthusiastic about - and show a vested interest in - their site though. A quality I can appreciate in other web masters.

Interesting website… I’ll have to check it out more later.

Personally, I liked the old design much better. Yes, this one does look like SitePoint. The marketplace is almost exactly the same.

Heck, I don’t even remember the old design. I really do like the vbulletin style though and how the amount earned shows up next to each poster’s avatar.

Ok, I looked at the new design again and sure enough that marketplace looks ALMOST identical to SP!!

I still like the layout/design, easy on my eyes. They just need more content now.

Actually SitePoint’s Marketplace doesn’t compare as we have everything they offer and much more. We have automatic tools that are buyer friendly like the backlinks, whois info, and so on. Simple steps any buyer should follow, but we built it in to the system. We have a thumbs up system in place to minimize spammy comments on sales threads. Finally, (I am sure I left out some stuff) we have a tool you can download that will run in your Systray that will notify you of new listings by category in the Marketplace instantly. This is awesome for both buyers and sellers.

I think it looks too much like SitePoint. I don’t know if I’m really feelin the new design. Maybe it just takes some getting used to.

to me it is nice to see other forums with good market place i dont care it looks like sitepoint or not what i care is i have another place where i can sale and purchase.

Yeah, this new look def. plays off the sitepoint feel (and a little of the look) but it’s nice to see it’s moving around. I stopped using it when all the boards got too noisy to be useful.

Same here regarding the forum usage. I find the one that made them different in the beginning (having your monthly gross next to your name) detractive from the experience. I don’t want anyone knowing what I make and would never disclose it. Especially to people I want to business with…

Who cares if it looks like Sitepoint, the content is good. The fact that everyone is comparing it to Sitepoint might be exactly what they are looking for.

Привет всем, млин тут комп не давно сломался и остался я без компа и инета аж на целых 5 дней! Епт такой тошняк был пока не починил, ведь есть все таки зависимость от компьютора как ни крути. Помню раньше не было и не надо )). А еще игры это вообще жесть затягивает. Не давно видел объявление на ряду с лечением табакокурения, алкогализма, в третей строчки было лечение от ИГРОМАНИИ. Во как! Докатились!
Зависимость или свобода конечно все зависит от нас.
