Looks sweet — nicely done! I especially like the contrast in the sitepoint post. The AuctionAds block detracts from the page, so I’d dump it if its not a substantial revenue producer.

Not a very good use of space on the top half of the page. I see you’re adding two more ad blocks, so you decided to throw a little bio blurb to fill out the rest of the space…kinda tacky to stick it right at the top. If you decide to keep About SM, make sure it only displays to new visitors… Everything else looks good.
While you’re changing things can you go ahead and add “tabindex=5″ to the “Add comment” button?! This way when we hit tab we can submit the comment instead of going to the top of the page.

I think it’s back to normal for now, it was different earlier.
I like the color scheme of the new site, but I like the layout of this site better.

Yep, the blog layout is back to normal now. I’d assume he’ll be switching layouts in the next couple days/weeks.
I have seen the new layout. It is abit too Heavy in terms of grapics your pic with every post doesnt look good.
I was thinking the same thing. Anyone grab a screenshot of it?
It doesn’t matter if it looks good or not. It still establishes trust and reinforces that we are reading something wrote by a real person. Sounds like a good change.
p.s. I don’t suppose you could get a pic of you and Carmen Electra for us to stare at everyday?
