by Jeremy Schoemaker on January 1, 2007 · 22 comments

2006 is my first year of blogging. Of the 415 posts on shoemoney.com 412 of them happened in 2006 ;) . Also in 2006 there were a total of 6978 approved comments and 59,557 spam comments that were deleted. Average chars per post in 2006 was 1356.0244. Total number of typos, grammatical errors, and misspellings = more then I want disclosed ;) These stats were easy to give thanks to Alex Kings post.

People seem really interested in statistics so here are mine from Google Analytics. BTW if you are not using digitalpoint forums and putting your blog in the header… your missing a lot of traffic lol…

and now……. without further delay the 2006 shoemoney.com stats brought to you by google analytics:

Pretty cool that you’re showing the world your stats, most bloggers like to keep most of that stuff secret :P

The Keywords pic doesn’t seem to be working though, goes to a 404….

Hmmm… Just out of curiosity, how many South African visitors? Probably around 20 of us ;-)

You might be interested to know that Google uses open source charting software… here’s the source to create high-quality, Flash-powered charts FREE on your site (as well as one of my favorite examples in their Gallery):

I am guessing the geo mapping doesn’t show towns, where only few of the people have visited the site. I am pretty positive my city isn’t shown ;)

By the way, your stats look the same as Matts (except for the Paris Hilton part, of course). Good work.

P.S. ‘shoemoney’ as keyword is not as popular as your main ones, so it is not filtered (just around 10-20 with 256 visitors).

I’m interested in this too. Can you please tell me how it works? Where in that forum do you list your blog? Are you talking about the thumbnails in the signatures of some posts or something else?
Thanks T

Hey there this is kinda of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding skills so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
