That is a great post and he is totally right. And Dand Todd is a great person with tons of knowledge, I have attended her presentations quite a bit. But I did notice that she is almost 100% focused on Paid Search. Being an organic man myself I always give her a hard time about not representing organic. The post by Greg really opened my eyes as to possibly why.

I blogged about this a few days ago (I think 3 people read it lol), but it comes down to the fact that anyone who thinks that SEO or SEM is a better way to make money than the other is just wrong.

It is like running a liquor store and not selling beer....They both make you money, some people make more money from one or the other, but this whole argument SEM vs SEO is petty and pointless.

Andrew Goodmans book called making money with google adwords is a pretty good starting point.

Also within Adwords they have training flash videos.

Kind of a pointless fight, they both work.

In the future I can easily see both still working but not in their current form anyway.

If it makes you money, use it.

As a small business I've spent 6 figures on PPC and made money from it. In my market I'm not sure what kind of investment it would take to get the same return from SEO.

The irony of it all is that with Google's "quality score" you're going to need SEO to use PPC!

Bastards.
