josh koscheck and the ufc fight

The UFC fight was interesting. I think its a lot better on tv honestly. We had great seats but it was still hard to see. I watched the fight tonight on TIVO that I had my wife record and I saw a ton of stuff that I missed. The best part was going with some really good friends. I was amazed to learn my friend Shawn was in town for the fight also so it was cool to hang a bit with him.

I went with my neighbor and his twin brother. They were both very talented college wrestlers and when all the fights ended we went down to talk to Randy Cotour and got called over by this kid named Josh Koscheck. Now I did not know who Josh is (I am a MMA NEWBIE) but he knew the guys I was with and invited us up to his hotel room. Next thing I know we are hanging out with Chuck Liddell and other fighters and like 20 of the hottest chicks if ever seen.

I gotta tell you Josh was a great guy. This kid knew a lot of SEO terminology I was super impressed.

After a bit we went to pure and partied with all the fighters. I had been to private parties at Pure in las vegas before but… this was the hottest club on a saturday night and FIGHT NIGHT not to mention. Also at the party was Eva longori (some chick from desperate housewifes), phil ivey, and a some fighters.

BTW: I asked Jenna Jameson for a picture and Tito Ortiz told me to f*ck off. so yaaaaaa Chuck kick his ass. I hate you Tito that was my moment of glory =(

    Shoe – You should’ve told Tito that Tank was your brother. Tank’s the REAL HB Bad Boy… or even Kimo, who defeated Tank.

    Honestly though, Tito will end up beating Lidell in the upcoming fight. I got money on it…and no it’s not because he’s a local (Huntington Beach). I could care less about the dude – I even knew him when I was younger and never paid attention then or now. He’s the T.O. of the UFC.

    As for making money — they make A TON of money OUT of the ring, trust me. Endorsements, training, clothing, etc, etc, etc. But big fights pay more than $22k or whatever was mentioned above.

    I used to work for Jenna as her webmaster. If you’re ever in Phoenix, I can probably get you a tour of her office and some Jenna schwag, if that would interest you. (I have a bunch sitting around from my days there.) Since the Playboy deal, she’s rarely around anymore however.

    Well… Tito has to be having some bizarre experiences with Jenna as a GF. After half the planet sees her boinkin’ dudes on video, it’s gotta set you on edge a bit. I’m sure there are plenty of drunk guys that hit on her (and any porn star) thinking they can get some. Or want to take nudie pix of her… that would set me on edge for sure.

    Tito has always trained very well, and his ego reflects that… Shamrock was the one with an ego bigger than his ability to back it up.

    I hope Chuck beats him up, I was rooting for Shamrock but I was honestly expecting a ground and pound win by Ortiz. Gotta love Shamrock, he’s all about respect.

    The top guys make a percentage of the ppv also so Rich cleared 6 figures easily. The numbers the ufc releases are only a small part of what the top guys actually get paid.

    And with tito- funny you mention that. Some of the other fighters said it drives him nuts how much attention she gets when they are together ;)

    UFC purses are not that big…I don’t know all the purse payouts for 64 but Franklin walked away with 21k, if he would have won he would have received a 21k bonuse. Silva walked away with 50k and Shrek 22k(?)…the not so big guys only mak 5k-7k a fight with a 5-7k win bonus (I think).

    Shoe…you should have asked for a pic with tito THEN with his girl.

    Sounds like fun. Eva must be a sports fan. I sat a few seats down from her at the UT vs. Ohio game earlier this year and she spent most of the time talking to Lance Armstrong. NBA, College Football, Cycling, UFC…. Is this a trend for her?

    WOW, thats awsome! Croscheck seemed like a pretty cool guy on the show. Chuck is cool, Tito probably thought you were some perv, going after jenna’s number. Tito an interesting person. I hear hes pretty nice in public, guess you hit him on a bad day ?? or maybe hes a jerk…who knows
