Yahoo Search Marketing 100$ Coupon

By Jeremy Schoemaker 49 comments »

EDIT: The Coupon is now for 25$ and not 100$

Woah… Microsoft offers 50$ coupons and now yahoo is offering 100$ coupons! But only for new signups. If you dont see the 100$ coupon on the page from the link above enter USCJ16 manually to get it.

No word on the specific time limit on how long this promotion is lasting. I just got a email from a yahoo rep with that code.

(I think they were jealous of all the attention Microsoft Adcenter got below)

With Microsoft you can have 3 accounts per credit card. I am not positive if Yahoo is the same but you might want to check that out.

  12. Nils said on October 13th, 2006 at 11:40 am

Can this one be used from Germany?

  13. Jonathan said on October 13th, 2006 at 12:21 pm

Do you think it does work for Canada?
Just read the following small prints:
“* Offer is only valid for advertisers opening a new U.S. Sponsored Search account through this promotion.”

  14. ShoeMoney said on October 13th, 2006 at 12:29 pm

    Thanks for posting that

  15. Dino said on October 13th, 2006 at 12:38 pm

Too bad its only for the (’U.S Sponsored Search).

  16. Ben said on October 13th, 2006 at 1:11 pm

    Actually it also says:
“Sign up and get a $100 credit. Applies to U.S. and Canadian advertisers only.”

  17. jm said on October 13th, 2006 at 1:12 pm

worked great for me. I had to use a different credit card for each account but ended up with 5 accounts. Cant beat the ROI on 500$

    Thanks for posting

  18. ToddW said on October 13th, 2006 at 5:04 pm

Of course MSN and Yahoo come out a week or two after I signed up for them!! GRRRrr!

  19. Lai said on October 14th, 2006 at 3:04 am

only applicable to US and Canadian advertisers :(

  20. frederik said on October 15th, 2006 at 6:36 am

Thank you for sharing this information. Unfortunately i can’t use it because it’s only good for members of the usa and canada. But anyway i can’t wait untill this offer goes to Europe. It is good to see that adwords has a competitor.

  21. web2jobs said on October 15th, 2006 at 9:58 am

US & Canada only! why? :(

Coupons rule. I used a $50 one already, so I missed out on the $100 one. Oh well…

Well, I am really ticked off. I wasn’t credited for the amount of $100. Than, when I emailed yahoo Search Marketing I got the following response:

    Oct 15 2006 15:00 PT

    Hello Christopher,

The promotional code US1069 was only valid during the month of September, as your account was created October 13th we are unable to apply the $100 promotional credit to your account balance.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any further assistance.

    Sincerely,

    Hello,

I was referred to Yahoo Search Marketing through Shoemoney’s blog, saying that there was a $100 coupon for new advertisers. I clicked on the link with Promo Code US1069 to sign up, but I have not been credited the $100 US on my account yet. I would really appreciate having this amount credited on my account. Thanks.

  24. bammer said on October 16th, 2006 at 10:44 am

The promo code was only good during September? Arghh!
No wonder it was locking up when I tried it.
Yahoo! should extend this offer to the end of October to make up for the Yahoo! reps mistake.
    What do you think Shoe?

  25. ShoeMoney said on October 16th, 2006 at 11:51 am

wow well that is clearly false advertisement… the page still says 100$ off.

Good news! I emailed Yahoo Support back explaining that I had been referred by a post on the Shoemoney blog on October 13th, 2006. Anyways, they emailed me back today saying that my request has been granted and that I will be getting a $100 credit on my account.

  27. teddy said on October 16th, 2006 at 6:55 pm

i just click on the link, they get rid the promotion already :(

  28. artis indonesia said on October 17th, 2006 at 4:27 am

    They changed to $50 coupon,,,

  29. Jeremy said on October 17th, 2006 at 3:14 pm

This was nothing more then a scam on Yahoos part. They have now turned me down for the credit. If the credit had expired, then why did the whole time during signup it tell me I was getting a $100 signup?

    What a load of sh*t

  30. Cecil said on October 17th, 2006 at 8:29 pm

    Now it’s saying $50 off

  31. bammer said on October 18th, 2006 at 2:09 pm

$50 page still not working! Bad, bad pr for Yahoo!

  32. JP said on October 18th, 2006 at 3:03 pm

I just called and was told the $100 offer expired on September 1st. The person I spoke with also said that these codes and they aren’t ment for public use. So what are they for then?

I did get $50 in the end.

  33. Piper said on October 19th, 2006 at 6:00 pm

You got something in the end, alright…

Actually, I got the $50 credit in the end, too. I just emphasized that the $100 message continued all the way through the signup process and even after the card had been processed. I was all ready with my screenshot, but they just handed over the $50 so I’m not pressing my luck.

  34. Addict said on October 22nd, 2006 at 4:26 pm

I have been trying to get my $100 since I signed up on October 16th. They charged my card 2 times, and I have an email from them stating that the $100 will be applied to my account. Today I get another email saying that my coupon code was expired. So… I looked it up in my cache.

    THERE IT IS!
    Quote:
    Get a $100 credit

    when you sign up for
Self Serve.* Credits will be reflected in your account within 24 hours of signing-up.

    - no expiration anywhere on the 2 pages I got out of my cache. This is despicable on their part. Yahoo Search Marketing is a lying cheating company.

That sounds like a great offer from yahoo. I wish I was just starting up with them to get that $100. It would help with sending a great amount of start-up traffic.

You’re only about a year late on the offer man. Check the date on the post.

  46. [...] I don’t play with AdWords or MSN advertising, but I think it’s good to try to stay aware of that side of things. So when Shoemoney posted about a $100 coupon for Yahoo Search Marketing (YSM) this morning, I figured it was time to try out YSM. I showed up and they had a six-page signup. It reminded of the line from the Rodney Dangerfield movie Old School: “I have only one question for Mr. Melon, in 43 parts.” But I waded through it all, down to the sixth page, which was a required survey. I hit submit and it took me back to page five, with this screen: [...]
