viva las vegas (again!)

by Jeremy Schoemaker on August 3, 2006 · 5 comments

I arrived at the Lincoln Airport this morning about 6am (suck) and stood in line to check my bag when I saw this yellow container on the table that said “WARNING POISNESS REPTILE” … ummm can anyone say Snakes On A Plane. Are you fricking kidding me??!?!

Well the TSA agent assured me that they could not escape. Still I think that is pretty fricking weird.

I am really looking forward to meeting up with some friends from #havok at DefCon. I have gotten quite a few emails from people who want to meet up at Las Vegas while I am here and if you are going to Defcon or are staying at the Riviera there is a good chance we can hang but keep in mind I am here to meet with my friend h4x0rs and they really have no interest in search engine marketing or silly intarweb stuff. This is about my only vacation traveling trip I will have this year.

Hi Shoemoney,

You seem to be doing a lot of traveling lately so here is my unsolicited travel tip.

Something I like to do is purchase logo merchandise form various airlines. Why? Because piles of these logo items are given to all the airline employees. Next time you fly on United, you can ware your United Airlines logo baseball cap & t-shirt. The employees will treat you a bit differently because you are obviously an employee or closely related to one. How can the ticket agent deny boarding to the guy with the matching “I love United Airlines baseball cap & t-shirt? I also use logo luggage straps and name tags on all my bags. Your bag is much less likely to be tossed into the grease puddle or otherwise lost or mutilated if the baggage handlers thing it belongs to an employee.

Aloha,
Dave.
