Dang Nice Weather, Dang Holidays!

Posted on: July 1st, 2006 by Jeremy Schoemaker

I started looking at some statistics today and thought I was going to have to head to the welfare line for some Gov’t Cheese then I remembered that its a beautiful holiday weekend and some people get out of their houses.

Dont panic!

    Your a funny dude, Jeremy.
    I think I spend a total of 12 hours a week outside, I live a sad existence.
I think our wives (respectively), spend more time out of the house then we do.
Your wife is in the medical field too, correct?

Regardless, its good to work from home.

    Happy 4th!

I’m also hit. I live in Europe but most of my income comes from the US so I was wondering a bit why traffic and conversions are lower today.
Lets hope it starts raining soon ;)

I was expecting the hit I’m taking this weekend. Any holiday that is popular for getting together with the family, my visitors all but vanish. Expecting it doesn’t make it any more pleasant, though!

Is this normal for holidays, or is this specific to summer holidays?

I love summer and the holidays that go with it but with Fathers Day a few weeks back and then the LONG July 4 weekend i’m deffinetly feeling the hit. Not that the two slow weekeds killed me but whenever I have 2-3 down days in a row I get a little nervous that my traffic has gone away due to some algo change, I then have to remember it’s a holiday etc and just be patient or make new content. Happy 4th Shoemoney.

    Priceless

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend.

Still experiencing low rates for AdSense/YPN on the 5th, even worse than the 4th. On the good news, my average spend on the Google AdWord network is down as well.
