Google Coop part 3 – not giving up yet

Posted on: May 20th, 2006 by Jeremy Schoemaker

I am 90% done with my wordpress plugin for Google Coop…. I think I get it and I am starting to see a lot of SEO people do get it. I just do not think general users will get it.

I only have a few subscribers and if it wasnt for the geek factor I would probably not even develop some tools for it.

I feel the features are little bit tough to understand

I have to admit that the whole Google Coop is a little confusing.

I spent a couple of hours looking at it and I just don’t get it at all. Am I stupid or is it just too geeky to appeal to anyone. Not going to waste any more time on it unless someone comes along and tells me this IS the next big thing.

The Coop doesn’t stand a snowball’s chance in hell of succeeding, IMHO. I don’t get the sense there’s any “buzz” about it at all.

Will any of you use it?

I think that I get it too but like you I don’t see how it’s going to help where general users are concerned. How do you explain to someone that you have a great thing in coop going but in order to see it you have to get a Google account, then you have to subscribe to me in order to get results that you probably would have gotten anyway?
