Reason 423 why webmasterworld is dying a fast death

by Jeremy Schoemaker on February 14, 2006 · 9 comments

The most recent STUPID thing Brett Tabke has done over at webmasterworld was censor the phrase “jensense”. Now I hear that Jensense has given up her position as a moderator at webmasterworld (who wouldn’t).

Webmaster World is the best example for every webmaster on the globe on what not to do!

Don’t remove the search from your website, don’t block every living bot, don’t censure words as digitalpoint, jensense or other words that are widely used in your vector.

It’s good the site is dying. It’s worthless anyways now that Cutts has his own blog.

Certainly Cutts starting his own blog was a great thing for most of us, no more digging through massive tonnage of manure to find what he’s posted. Don’t even bother trying to search for anything at webmasterworld, the guy running the site doesn’t even bother letting members have a useful search function.

BT is going to die as a mad man in next few years because he doesn’t know what he and his party is doing most of the time.
I think reason could be anything but there is one in my mind jenstar has recently started to give references to digitalpoint to illustrate the matter and this shows downside of WMW.

As far as I am concerned WMW is still the best WM forum on the internet. As a rule I generally stay away from forums in general but if I have a question that needs to be answered about something specific and advanced, that is the place to go.

WMW is just full of **** (you get it). It’s the best living example of a good community gone bad.

Yet another stupid decision by folks who *think* they know all. If they would stop kissing ass of G and other engines, and use their brain, they might have a future.

BT, IMO is the best example of a guy being self centered. Charging members but not providing a search function.

May be it’s time WMW should change its name to WebloserWorld.

WMW’s loss has now been DP’s gain. Its already been great having Jen on the DP team!

I don’t know what you all are looking at. JenSense is not censored, it’s just the domain name. And for a forum that doesn’t allow many offsite URLs anyway, who cares? Regardless, some facts are wrong here. :)
