Shoe, Why not use directories or subdomains on the same domain instead of the investment in so many different sites?

Good post and I agree. I am doing something similar in the SEO niche with 5 different sites offering different things, promoting each other and it works well.

[...] Well, I’m here this week in Nebraska, visiting my brother and his wife. We’re celebrating Christmas this week since they won’t be able to come home for Christmas. Most of this week so far I’ve spent tugging on my brother’s pantlegs for help with my websites. He has graciously become my “Net-Sensei” and I am learning from a pro. I’ve made about 50 or so sites now over the last 5 months, mostly made to help me pay for my college and help me learn about being a webmaster. Is it working? Its getting there day by day. My brother is always reminding me to look long term for the benefits. I’m finally learning the ways of DigitalPoint and the great tools it has to offer a beginner. I’m still trying to find my niche, my sites are all over the map as far as content goes. On a recent blog entry of his, he talks about finding a topic, and spidering from that. I think I’ve done that already with some sites, I just have to help my spiderweb grow [...]

I guess then it’s a good idea to make your sites narrow enough to be about one manufacturers products, rather than a catch all for (in this case) mobile phones. Then you can spread across the different manufacturers.
