You are 100% correct. There are about 15 search feed firms and most are sharing keyword ads. You will see Google, Overture, Miva, Mirago, Kanoodle, Find What, PointCast Media and others all providing paid search feeds to the other. The two biggies – Google & Yahoo (formerly Overture) feed their paid listings to search feed companies like us – Pointcastmedia.com and under very strict agreements the search feeds are then resyndicated.
You dont usually see a great deal of resyndication of the google feeds but it does happen with a very few selected firms.
The other thing that resyndicators offer to web publishers as that we “slice and dice” the search feeds and then provide the highest paying ads to our affiliates – with a company such as PointCast Media the web publisher can earn more with a syndicated feed than by using the ad feeds directly from the company. Think of it like this — If you do 10,000 hits a day or 100,000,000 a day which one is going to get a higher pay out from the search feed partner.
Not just on jensense, you can check on http://www.googlelady.com and there are ads about Google adsense on Yahoo. I wonder how much Google is paying to yahoo for the ad
Are you sure it isn’t just somone with a referral id?
I noticed this as well. Even 3 years later. Wow time flies by fast.
