So I purchased this wap front end to one of my bigger forums this week. The only problem is the sucker just refuses to work with php5. The support after taking forever to respond finally comes back and tells me ‘well this other forum that has 20 members got it working so it must be your fault’. The only solution the support has is for me to give them write access to my box with the stuff on it. I am hating it at this point.
I am guessing this joint does not work with many sites that earn six figures a month or so or they would not be sugesting so much downtime. The one thing I hate more then anything about this Wiforums thing is they encode there php with the ioncube…. which totally sucks becuase its so hard to trouble shoot anything….. anyway…. so far i estimate this 100 some dollar wap front end to my forums is going to cost me atleast 10k in downtime and my own time… o well.
Currently the guy is sitting idle on my production webserver. His only commands so far are w and ls. Im not real impressed. Will this updated
Update: It seems they have it working now. No word on what the actual issue(s) are…
