Just do it

I took the time out the other day to talk to this guy about opening a online storefront. He right off the bat said he didnt know if he had the money to start this company. I asked him why he needed so much money and he said it was to incorporate and for lawyers and contracts and all this crap. He definatly didnt need any of that stuff to get started. The only costs involved in starting a online company is really the domain and your host. Thats a cost of less then 200$ a YEAR easy.

Quickly after talking to this guy I realized that for every one of his concerns I was quelching he would come up with 3 more for why he shouldnt be in business. The conversation ended with me saying “well you can come up with with reasons all day why you shouldnt be in business. I wish you luck”

Hey…I just found this post…there are so many people like this! Everyone has all these ideas, but they don’t know how to execute their ideas into action. Don’t wait…do it now!

Reminds me of one of my favorite sayings, “You don’t have to get it right to start, you just have to get it going”. It’s amazing how often we tend to figure the little details needed to achieve what we want, if we’re willing to move past our comfort zone and just get started :-)

Yeah, that was me a few years ago.

There is this “fear of the unknown” barrier you need to get past. You need to do it on your own, no one can talk you through it.

If you pass that barrier, you enter a whole new world of possibilities.

Hahaha, I know how that is, and I think I’ll take your advice. :)

You should change the title of this post to “Just Shoe It!”…Any how, that guy is one less person that my internet empire will have to over throw as I take over the internet. People just don’t get it and, well, quite frankly, I will be happy to take all of their customers ;) . I started without knowing anything about how to make a website or run a business, but I had a credit card with a $10k limit, damn it! And placing that 1st $150 order was still hard…haha.

Sounds like a “the glass is half full … or empty!” type of guy. People like this drive me nuts – quit coming up with excuses – just do it!
